Our salvation is a free gift from God. But what is the free gift?

It is a real and actual New Birth or a New Nature come to birth or made alive in us for the purpose of causing us to walk in His statutes and keep them. It is a spark of the Divine Life come to life in the believer.

Why is a new life or nature necessary for salvation.

Consider, why do you have to teach a child to behave and never to misbehave. Why does the misbehavior always come naturally?

It is this that Christ came to change, this natural desire toward misbehavior, to a natural desire towards a good and proper behavior.  Which is the behavior that would do righteousness in all things. For all beings to be alive and have life, they must of necessity have a nature, and they can only act according to that nature. This is why a new nature or the New Birth is the prerequisite to salvation. For itself is actually salvation, for being in possession of the Divine nature is the only thing that can live forever before God in the Kingdom of Heaven. For as all natures do, they dictate or limit the creatures behavior. Just like a dogs nature dictates his behavior to always act like a dog and cannot act outside his nature, but is free to act according to his will within his nature. This is why regardless of how much you beat, love, or feed a dog,  you can never get it to act like a cat. For it doesn’t have the nature of a cat in it. It must of all necessity act like a dog for it has a dog’s nature.

Why are there only two natures offered to man? A good one or a evil one.

Because God created  man to be like Him, sentient and free in all  freedom. For a being to be free in all freedom the only natures that allow this are the good or evil nature. A good nature to all righteousness, for in righteousness is all freedom to be found. Or a evil nature to, slavery, imprisonment, darkness, and to all things contrary or opposite to the good and righteous nature.

Are you saying that God Himself chose to have a good nature and not a evil one?

Yes, that is absolutely what I am saying. This Being of all Power and Authority has chosen by a free act of His will to have a good nature. This is why He is worthy of all Praise and Glory to all Eternity. This freedom of will God has given to mankind. For God created man to be His Sons and Daughters.  These are not just idle words but a most solemn truth and reality of man’s position in creation.

This sounds harsh on my ears, that God, the Eternal, all Good, had to choose the good also?

This is a most absolute  truth, and the realness of our being created in the image and likeness of God. For a Good being could not put before His creatures that were created in His likeness to be His Sons and Daughters any harder trial than He Himself faced. So we can be sure because we face that trial, God faced that trial. This is the beauty and glory of God’s creating man in His image, seeing how once the nature of the being has been chosen, that nature can only end by death. Seeing how God is eternal, never to die we can trust with all security the never endingness of His Eternal Goodness. This is why lucifer was not and can not be offered salvation, he is a eternal being that can never die. This too is why those that die in there sins, can never be redeemed for all eternity. They have become eternal creatures, that can never die again. Henceforth the evil natures that they have chosen are theirs for all eternity. This is why one of God’s first acts of love toward the salvation of fallen man was to prevent them from eating from the tree of life and living forever in their fallen state. To give them the opportunity of salvation through death.

These are interesting words, I’m not sure I can accept them. Think I’ll have to go to God and ask about the truth or falseness of them.

Blessed are you for understanding and speaking the truth you just stated. Scripture says;

1 John 2:27 (NASB)
As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

To know and understand God teaching you inwardly, is the truth that leads to all truths. Blessings as you run any and everything you read and hear from all peoples  by the peace of Christ in your heart.

So for man to be as free as God would have man to be and that is as free as Himself, which is the freedom to express and manifest all truth(s) and all righteousness, which is all freedom for all eternity.  Man must of all necessity have fire and water, good and evil, light and darkness put before their will’s to choose.  So man has been given the choice of which nature he would have. These two natures are described in scripture by the New or Old Creation, or by, Christ or Self.

How does the exchange of Nature’s happen?

The simple answer is; according to your desire after it. For all God asks is for you to want it. But not just when it’s convenient for you or when you think it might get you what you want. But a moment by moment wanting, where in all circumstances and situations it would be the desire of your heart that the New Nature would have the rule in your life.

You make it sound so simple. Just wanting it ??

It actually is, but here is the rub. We don’t always want it. It is the “I want this”,  and “I want that” that gets in the way.

Can the “I want this”or the “I want that” be gotten rid of?

Yes. But first it must be seen want the “I want” is. The “I want” is the life and the desire of life that came out of your mother’s womb. It is everything that you consider to be you. For everything that came out of your mother’s womb is part and parcel of the old creation. It is this, that the New Birth is given to replace.

In a Christian there are now two Nature’s, or two center’s of life, both lay claim to the soul and would have the rule.  Man’s will stands between the two. But it is this will that stands between the two that is the problem, for it is the sinner. It is that which needs to be dealt with. The question is how?

There is only one way for the will to stop it’s willing. That is to have the will foresake itself. It must turn from itself, or as scripture calls it denying or dying to itself. This is where the struggle is in all Christians. When the believer sees it is their own will(s) that causes them to choose the wrong. Yielding or giving themselves up to death become’s their only source of relief. For if they don’t deny their own will’s, wrong or sin will continually be the only thing that is manifested.

Before the individual was born again or became a Christian they had no choice but to follow the dictates of the fallen or old nature. They had no choice but to follow the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. This is all they knew. They thought this was good, proper and right. After they receive this New Nature they now have a choice which nature they will obey.

Both natures would have the rule if allowed. But both natures cannot be dominant in one life at the same moment of time.  One or the other must give way. Which one is to be the dominant one is entirely up to the individual believer’s will. This is a moment by moment choosing. In scripture it speaks of God working in both to will and to do. This God does, He will convict, coerce, drive, teach, draws the individual to Himself. But the choice of being drawn is up to the believer. For scripture says God has called both Heaven and Earth to testify against the person that says man does not have the ability to choose, for He has put the choice before man.;

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NASB)
"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,

But seeing the the choice is put before the believer,  the believer can stoutly refuse to grow. For the Christian that still chooses to live in sin after receiving the New Birth the results will be. They will be the most miserable and joyless person on this planet. For they will have the life of one world, living in another. They will remain as scripture calls them babes or Carnal Christians, continually controlled by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. But the simple act of wanting more can change that.

But on to those that want the more.

Growing in Christ is for all that would want it with their whole hearts. For God has given Christ to mankind once for all. The believer that wants Christ can have as much of Him as his heart truly would have of Him. For the heart is the place of Christ’s abode. For He cannot be found but in the heart of the believer. This is where the believers personal relationship with Christ is and it is here it grows. But just like a child that wants to be grown up, the child can only grow at the speed their body naturally grows. The same with the New Birth it can only grow at its own speed. The only thing that can stop it from growing to maturity is sin in the life of the believer.

But this is how great, glorious and awesome our salvation is in Christ. All of our sinful desires toward sin, have been taken to death with Him. If we would just always want it, the path and how to appropriate His salvation would be shown and made plain to us. All He asks is for us to want it, always.

Blessings,

Much love in Christ, Not me

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
