Dear Felinefan,

You asked a question about whether we should allow the banning of Bibles etc to continue. Well, when Christianity is forbidden and it is against the law to speak out against things that are explicitly forbidden in the Bible, it becomes much more difficult to speak out against a thing. At that time, it will be like it was in Daniel's day when it was forbidden to pray except for praying to the king. Daniel continued on with his normal routine of praying because God was his life. For just being himself and praying, he was thrown into a den with hungry lions. Well, these days here are called the end days in Scripture and the very same thing is happening right under our noses and we just let it happen without making too much of a fuss.

I believe the U.S. is a "Christian" country. By that we mean that those who founded it believed in Christian principles and intended it to be a place where Christians could live without persecution. They simply did not want to establish a state church such as England had. However, evil always takes advantage of everything possible and has turned the liberty of the Christians into persecution of them because they wanted the same freedom and 'tolerance' that Christians had.

You should read the letter from serrae who is from the UK. Our country is soon headed in the same direction. It will become more and more difficult to be a Christian in this country. How long do we have to wait before we stand for something? It is already becoming more difficult in my home state since civil unions were passed recently. The first thing that happened when my daughter went to orientation at a university here was that the group was taken to the "civil rights" exhibit and rather than observe the display about African Americans, they were subjected to a speech and display of homosexual "civil rights." My daughter left and when she came back at the end of the presentation she simply said that she's not homophobic but that's disgusting. Already you make yourself a prey if you disagree with them.

And that is not the only area where a Christian has trouble. Look around you. Wake up. Yes, Bibles are being taken out of hospitals and hotels but God is being booted out of everything. There is no such thing as a vacuum in the spirit. You either have God or you have the other guy. Hell is taking over at a pace that would shock us if we were to see it from God's perspective. We have to make God our life as Daniel did. Read the Scriptures. Get them into our hearts. Live them to the best of our ability and pray for more ability from Jesus. Then we'll see a reaction from the evil. But we can stand firm in our faith and Jesus will back us up. We're in for a wild ride but it will be worth it all. We can make a difference.

I couldn't believe when I read in the newspaper that they are banning Bibles from hospital patient's bedsides because they 'offend other religions' when obviously they don't because they had Muslims saying that it didn't offend them!

They're also saying that Bibles are contributing to the spread of MRSA!

This proves that the government don't know what they're doing and feel sorry for them on judgement day.

Respect for other faiths is not going to be achieved at the expense of Chritianity.

In one hospital they have actually torn down the cross in the chapel and put prayer mats down (for Christians to use as well) but do you want to be praying to God in the same room as someone who is praying to a different God? It's blasphemy I tell you!

THIS IS A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY!!

What do you think, should we let them continue to get away with it or should we do something about it before Christianity is banned completely ?

Your friend in Jesus

I had surgery last week and I was going to bring my own in with me, however I didn't because I was worried my dad would leave it somewhere like the cafeteria while I was in surgery haha It has all my highlights and notes in it!

What a load of garbage...

Personally, a Muslim can pray in the same room with me all they want, does it take away my saviors power? Does it make "Allah" any more legitimate? NOPE...

Yes, I would like to see proof of that as well.

Sorry to break it to you, but this is NOT a Christian Country. This country was founded on moral and biblical principles but that's about it. How can a country be Christian? Obviously not everyone here is Christian. The only thing we can do is to pray for our leaders, and pray Christian leaders get into office. We can make rules that make people have to BEHAVE morally, but that doesn't change their hearts towards God, or make them Christian.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well, 90% of the people here in the United States are Judeo-Christian, we certainly are not Buddhist. :24:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I think you'd better re-check your stats. According to the census only 76% "claim" to be of the Christian faith, but how many are true believers? :)

Are those 90% really Christian? Some of them only call themselves Christian because they remember going to church as a kid, but dont beleive in any of it now.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What a sad thing to write. What makes one person any more 'Christian' than the next person whether or not they go or went to church? We are all equal in the eyes of God!

I know people who think you are born into the church. They call themselves christians but show disdain for born again believers. That is sad :emot-hug:

This banning of bibles in hospitals(given by the Gideons)is happening in the UK>

Also a cross has been removed from a crematoria chapel in the name of multiculturalism.Americans are probably not aware of the creeping Islamification in the UK. We have no choice and althugh Islamics are a minority they are pushy and vociferous and have the government dancing to their every demand.

The anti-Christ is doing very well in the UK under Tony Blairs's evil socialist government. He pretends to be a Christian but had done a great deal to destroy our faith and religion since he had been in office. He has overseen the breakdown of the family and offers incentives on welfare for women not to marry and produce children alone. These recent abuses of Christianity are part of an agenda that is growing. Our churchmen are weak and gutless and are too politically correct to speak out.Tony Blair is hoping to introduce a Law in the UK that bans you from critisizing faith. This sounds good but it means if you say that Islam is evil(which it is)you could be put in prison. Tony Blair is part of the anti-Christ.

Is that the one in Torquay??

If Bibles spread MRSA then presumably, everything that can be moved should be to stop the infection....

However, if hospitals were cleaned properly, it would help stop the spread anyway. Plus simple things like not removing equipment etc from Isolation Wards (which are full of people that have caught MRSA) aren't taken into normal wards... a few years ago (before MRSA really hit the news) my gran was in hospital and mum was visiting her in the isolation ward and a nurse came in and was going to take something (can't remember what) from the isolation ward into the normal ward. My mum had to stop her. With stuff like this going on, is it any surprise that MRSA is spreading so rapidly??

Anyway, back to the original point... in a supposedly Christian country with a supposedly Christian Prime Minister (/wannabe President) how can anyone justify removing a Bible from anywhere??

I see what you have quoted is something I didn't say. Serrae said it. If you could change that, that would be great. Thanks!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
