If you had a problem with it, there is a PM system here.

Pro 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Use it. As it is, i stand by everything I said and the question still remains, which fruit did Jesus display when He threw people out of the temple?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Righteous indignation is what Jesus displayed. Your wrath and belittling is anything but.

Scripture was not intended to be used as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Have you read nothing I posted? Where is your maturity and wisdom? Please make it evident and refrain from posting in this topic if you have nothing to add but insults.

Likewise you do too.

Slow down a little bit, take a deep breath, and think before blasting off posts in rapid-fire succession.

Implying I don't think before I post is an insult to one's intelligence. Good day sir, I hope you someday figure out what grace, faith, and salvation truly are.

This is typical of your camp, can't respond to what is acually brought up so you attack the style. Oh well.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

SJ, I'm not here to argue with you, brother. That wasn't my intention. I'm just reading through your posts and amazed at the way you speak/write to "your brethren."

I highly doubt I am alone in this opinion. But, something needs to be said. You are way out of line.

If you want to blow this off as "I'm a little child who doesn't know what he's talking about," like you did to Kansas Dad, then feel free. But, I think anyone reading this thread can see where the deficiency lies.

Pro 21:24 Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What I find just amazing is that on this issue you and I don't see eye to eye, I am making this assumption from other post you have made in other thread, and yet SJ has some how put us into the same category, Just like Tess did in her very first pm to me. Trust and Obey I am afraid it is a waist of time trying to show either of them how the way they say things is offensive and blocks the message they are trying to convey.

As I am the one who started this thread, I could care less about the rules and stipulations either Tess or SJ try to impose, I am just trying to have a conversation and to gain some perspective, and I appreciate your graciousness in the process.

So? I really am interested in your thoughts on what it means to "live in Christ"?

As I assumed early on, typically when people cannot address the issues..they turn to ad hominem and personally attack the person with the opposing position. A person of integrity would just admit they have no response or that they're unable to counter the argument...rather than insulting the person they disagree with.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sister Tess, I was not even involved in this debate, so I do not have a "position on it." I was just so taken aback at what I saw that I decided to speak up. The Bible says that a wise man receives a rebuke.

Pro 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Based upon SJ's response to me I'd say "he hates me" now, not "loves me."

Um, tess actually started the thread. So yes, you should abide by the rules she set forth in the debate.

I was just so taken aback at what I saw that I decided to speak up. The Bible says that a wise man receives a rebuke.

It also says it is to be done in private, but you keep ignoring this, now don't you? You're right, a wise man does recieve rebuke. But would a wise man recieve rebuke from someone who does it in a highly unbiblical way? All you have done is continue to insult me, attack my character, and add nothing to the discussion. Would you like to finally take this to the private realm or do you wish to continue to violate scripture?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

KD, I believe that to live in Christ one must have the Spirit of Christ.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Then, it is a daily process of taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ:

2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

As we yield ourselves to the HS we will be led by the HS.

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

As we live our lives in this way the fruit of the Spirit will be perfected in our lives:

We will all fall short, but that is why we have 1 John 1:9. And, Jesus is our Advocate always making intercession for us.

"Living in Christ" is a wonderful theme. It is our hope. Like my sig says... Christ in you, the hope of glory!

Since this is really a doctrinal issue..I thought I'd post my responses in this forum. The quotes are taken from this topic.

Kansasdad,

You initially used 3 verses (out of context) to support your doctrine, while avoiding addressing the numerous others which seem to contradict said doctrine. Are you aware that there is tremendous Scriptural support for salvation security? If so, how do you reconcile that the verses which support salvation security far outweigh those which seem to contradict it?

Clearly God will judge us if we continue to live in sin after we have the knowledge of truth, our punishment will be severe.

What about forgiveness of sins?

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." ~ 1 John 1:9

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." ~ Hebrews 8:12

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." Hebrews 10:16-18

I think it depends on the circumstances, SJ.

Pro 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

I think a private fault should be handled privately.. a public one publicly.

SJ, I do not desire to to do anything with you. Let's depart one from another in peace.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
