And oh yes get  MasterCard to increase my credit limit so that I can get the pontoon boat today without actually  having to pay for it now.

Enjoy the new  prosperity, aah how nice. Free stuff and more credit for me.

I think you are getting a little carried away here.

In the spirit.

Free money will not seek noble use. It will be just like credit cards, no one runs up credit card bills to do eleemosynary works.

Individuals will only run up debt balances for personal pleasures today to be paid for tomorrow along with the huge penalty called interest to the maximum amount that they can get away with paying only  the minimum monthly payment on.

Add a thousand a month to what a person can pay toward a minimum monthly payment on a credit card and that is what will happen - more personal purchases of stuff not really needed but shiny stuff desired.

The idea that individuals will only spend one twelfth on themselves and will do "good charity" with the rest is a lot of BS. won't happen. Instead debt will just skyrocket.

How much on a credit card balance will $1000 cover as the minimum payment due? Put forth that number and then see the eyes light up with glee and the online purchases of stuff run amuck soon as everyone starts getting their $1,000.

ALL that matters with ANY of these schemes is what does it do to the

purchasing power of the dollar?
