lets see what The Bible says

Luke 4

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Deut 8:3 Matt 4:4

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Deut 6:13 Matt 4:10

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

Ps 91:11 Matt 4:6

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Deut 6:16 Matt 4:7

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

Ok,first of all we see here that the devil is real,just like JESUS is real...

so the devil is not an impersonal force neither an imaginary figure....

In fact we know from the Bible that he is a FALLEN ANGEL...a FALLEN CHERUB...and we find him here TEMPTING JESUS....so be sure will tempt you and me too....

Btw....it is important to note that THE SPIRIT of GOD led Jesus in the wilderness...and the devil tempted HIM for 40 days....but then the Holy Spirit drives our attention to 3 specific temptations,namely those 3 points in which EVE in Genesis was tempted and FELL and ADAM with her....but JESUS ,THE NEW ADAM,thanks be to GOD,OVERCOMES.

Genesis ch 3

Chapter 3

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

the woman saw that the tree was good for food,and that it was pleasant to the eyes,and a tree to be desired to make one wise......

these 3 points we read in 1st John ch 2:

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

How satan tempted her in these 3 points

And then he tempted JESUS but the devil lost and JESUS THE PERFECT MAN( 100% GOD/100% MAN) OVERCOMES satan and his enticements.

In the post you ask WHO RULES THE WORLD?

GOD?MAN?SATAN?

Well,we know that GOD IS SOVEREIGN..and OMNIPOTENT...ok?

We also know that sometimes in eternity past GOD created THE ANGELS and GAVE TO LUCIFER (Lux-Fero= Light Bearer)Preeeminence over the angelic choorts.

We also know that LUCIFER at a certain time DECIDE to REBEL against GOD and after 5 "I WILL" tried a COSMIC COUP d'ETAT=BLITZ to GET RID of GOD and RULE THE UNIVERSE not only the WORLD!

We know that Lucifer attempt ended in disaster for him and the third part of angels that rebeled with him and that JESUS mentions THE FALL FROM HEAVEN of satan when HE says:

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

He reigns wherever we are obedient to Him. It is all the Christians who keep speaking Christ's holy power into the kingdom of the devil that keeps the devil empowered in their own lives, and helps destroy the world.

Does not the Revelation speak of the 'false prophet'? I tell you that EVERY TIME we attribute glory, dominion, and reign to satan, THAT FALSE PROPHET LIVES RIGHT IN OUR OWN MOUTHS! We 'give power to the image of the beast.'

Jesus Christ defeated satan, put him to an open SHAME! Do not be among those who will continue to prostitute Christ's power to build up satan.

So you don't believe in a literal physical 1,000 year reign on this earth by the L-RD?

God IS the supreme ruler of all things, and He rules Satan, but Satan and his demons roam the earth, constantly tempting poeple, they HATE humans. They will do everything in their power to destroy us. One day God will come and kick satan out for GOOD. But I don't think that the day has yet come, Satan still roams freely destroying many. And God is right there to bring them back up again. ONE DAY God will return and destroy satan, but His timing is not our own. He created time, and will come when He knows it is right. But until then, Satan has power, and is on this earth with his minions.
