How do you make yourself HOLY?

1 Peter 1:16 tells us that the one who called us is Holy and it is written to be holy as he is holy

Where is that written?

How do you set apart your life for the One true G-d?

Zayit, holiness is a byproduct of walking with God.

It is as we walk in the grace of God, by humility and faith, that holiness will be wrought in the life of the believer.

Holiness isn't "a list of do's and don'ts." That is legalism. Holiness is the purity of life and thought, manifested in love, that is the result of knowing the Lord.

So only he can set you apart, you just continue doing what you did before you let him into your life and admitted that you were breaking his laws?

Paul answered that very same question:

Romans 6

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey

Yes! In the good ol, legalistic book!

Lev 11:44 For I am ADONAI your God; therefore, consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I am holy; and do not defile yourselves with any kind of swarming creature that moves along the ground.

Lev 19:2 1 ADONAI said to Moshe, 2 "Speak to the entire community of Isra'el; tell them, 'You people are to be holy because I, ADONAI your God, am holy. 3 "'Every one of you is to revere his father and mother, and you are to keep my Shabbats; I am ADONAI your God.

LEV 20:7 7 Therefore consecrate yourselves -you people must be holy, because I am ADONAI your God. 8 Observe my regulations, and obey them; I am ADONAI, who sets you apart to be holy.

So how has this changed? do we need to do nothing to set ourselves apart from the rest of the world? In the last book, the Revelation the L-rD says, come out of her My People? Is he just speaking to Jews or to those whom are called by his name?
