If there were to be a absolutely flawless local church body  I could not attend, for my presence in of itself would flaw the church body.

If there is an  absolute top problem with churches, I suggest it might be top ten lists.

10 biggest problems Christian Americans are facing today:

1. A diluted faith.

2. Or is it something else? Pride

3. Biblical illiteracy.

4. Do we have closed minds?

5. Which way should we go?

6. Have we become the Church of Laodicea?

7. A lack of honesty

8. Bad publicity.

9. Back to the basics?

10. Are we willing to serve?

It seems to me that, 1.  A diluted faith, is common.  There are many Christians who believe that faith without works will save them - that is diluted faith; in fact, it's DEAD faith (James 2:26).

I'm convinced that to make it to heaven we need faith plus the correct behavior (works). This may sound strange but the behavior becomes more important after we're saved than it is before we're saved because I'm not saying we are saved by good works. I doubt that many saved folks had good works before they came to the Lord. It's after we accept Jesus that good works separate the phonies from those that are sincere. Good works on our part also shows respect for God and that we really do love the ways of the Lord. So, we are not saved by our works but if we truly are saved then we will have good works. But showing these good works is what the Christian life is all about. For all you newbies, don't think you aren't really saved if your good works quotient is low. It's more important for you to desire to be righteous. It can take decades to see a lot of it. Just be sure you don't blend in with the world to the point that no one can see any differences between you and the average person.
