I was 59 and healthy, as I still am at 77. The owner of the family owned business I worked for had a massive heart attack and died. To make a long story short, I left the company but could find no work in an economy that was in a downward spiral. A close friend suggested I sell my home and buy something smaller and just retire. I eventually did just that and paid cash for my house, paid off my truck and other bills and went to work for the Lord EXACTLY as He had planned to this day - for the next 18 years and still going. I was leading a men's group when I retired, and I went on to start a ministry to the homeless downtown and eventually 2 more homeless locations, collecting food, clothing, warm bedding for winter and so on, plus a couple years of mentoring. God eventually closed the ministries I was in and the last few years God has been getting me ready for the new SEASON of my life. God is an absolute joy to serve, and I am so blessed that as I heard His voice through others, I recognized His calling on my life, as He has a new calling on my life now. After preparing the last 10 years and after closing several other doors of ministry, He is opening a new door for me now, to be mentoring 2 wonderful Christian men He brought to me MIRACULOUSLY, one a few blocks from my home, and the other in England, across the "POND". This was after a lot of spiritual battles and warfare when I was attacked by satan repeatedly as he tried to destroy me and God's plans, but God was faithful to preserve me and preserve His plans He had for my life - PRAISE GOD. I know satan will never stop attacking me, but now I have new strength to endure, and God is there to be with me, as He has with many of you. When you love God and have surrendered your life to whatever he calls you to, and made Christ "YOUR CENTER OF EVERYTHING" and have committed your whole life to serving Him until your last breath, God can use you for any purpose He has planned for you. It's FABULOUS to belong to God as completely as you know how. He brings you GREAT Joy and Peace and happiness beyond explaination. God bless you all. Thank you all for taking the time to be here and read my post. My name is Oligos Edited February 8, 2020 by Seasoned by Grace 2 1

That's one thing we will always agree on. You didn't retire, you were promoted. Gave up a job for a calling. That's cool..............and God will provide.. God is light. His promises are true. All of them! Better to go out in flames! (on fire!!)........... 2 1

All of them! Better to go out in flames! (on fire!!)........... All very true my friend . When a person surrenders his life to Gods plans, and only His plans as best we can, as we seek His will the best we can, there comes a peace even if we are waiting on Him as we continue living for Him and seeking Him out from our heart, to continue to grow until His plans and goals for us are made known for us to respond to. Life is amazing when He knows our heart and our intentions. God bless all of you. My name is Oligos
