Well I am sure not paranoid.  I am not the least bit worried.  God's will not mine.  He who endures to the end shall inherit the Kingdom of God.

Exactly. God is in control. Scientists may not know all about this virus but God does. That is where trust and faith come in.

I already have several times and you didn't pay any attention to it...   and so have several others....    so what difference would it make...

I have allergies and sinus issues. I cough and sneeze all the time. I am 100% well. I can guarantee you that. This virus has made people paranoid. Why has the world not been this cautious about the influenza virus? It is just as bad. There is even a vaccine. A lot of people will not get it. If people show the symptoms of the COVID-19 they need to stay at home and not go out for two to three weeks.

You can not have any symptoms at all and still infect other people for up to 21 days....    Not everyone who is infectious has symptoms so unless you have been tested and turns out negative you really can't know if you are carrying it or not.....  even if it's negative you could be positive three days later...

Some people are carriers of the virus and never get the symptoms but can give it to other people.

which is why masks are incredibly important.  My mask protects YOU.   Your mask protects me.

France has made it a criminal offence to sell masks. All facemasks have been requisitioned by the state - for use only be emergency and health workers.

Some maths:

The average cough has 200 million viruses. (I read somewhere...)

Let's say that taking in a single virus carries a one in a hundred million chance of you getting infected.
From a single cough from someone else, you unfortunately take in 10% of the viruses. So that's 20 million.
Chance of infection is ~20%.
If you were wearing an N95 mask, then you'd take in 1 million viruses
Chance of infection is 0.5%
If you make your own mask, perhaps you'll achieve 80% reduction in ingestion. Chance of infection is 4%.

Change that one in a hundred million to one in a million and the chances of infection are:
Unprotected: practically certain
N95: 73%
Homemade 80%: practically certain

TL;DR - masks, even homemade, may be effective, but their efficacy depends on the chances of a single virus causing infection, and the number of viruses taken into the body in a typical exposure.

also that initial intake may depend on how severe the infection is.....   The less you initially take in the more time your body has to build up defenses before it can do serious damage.

Tell that to the woman who was shopping at the same time as I was  yesterday .. she was wearing a mask , quite a sophisticated looking one that she removed quickly to sneeze ( no time to remove the mask and use a tissue so naturally the mask had to go ) then replaced her ( snot and sneeze free ) mask and carried on shopping
