Hahaha, of course we have the same amount of ribs but it makes us person think when reading that Eve was created out of a rib of Adam.

Ever heard of a floating rib? We all have 1. :noidea:

Men and women have the same number of ribs. Only Adam lost one so woman could be created.

Does God lie? No.

Genesis 2:21-23

It is amazing that He created man from the dust of the earth, yet He made woman from part of the man. Bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. The very first joined together man and wife.

Even more amazing is when the Lord, the second Adam, gave up His life at calvary to make a completely new creation, His Bride; joined as one by His Spirit.

I thought it was proven that women did have an extra something where the ribs should be. I heard it was supposed to protect the womb.

That word that is translated 'rib' can also mean 'side'. As it has been said, woman was taken from Adam side, not his head so she would be above him and not his feet so she would be beneath him, but his rib ( middle)  so that she would be beside him.

:) Actually, we have two pairs of "floating ribs." They are called such because they are not joined to the sternum (breastbone) via cartilage.

Well, at least the ribs are among the bones that create red blood cells - so, could be!
