I realized I have learned a few more things about the virus and our great leadership..... the value of the mask and staying at home!

  1. Social distancing works says our leaders yet. better to wear your mask.
  2. The mask really works but since it protects you, you should definitely get in other people's business and tell them they must wear one too, thus says our leaders.
  3. The mask really works thus we need to keep businesses closed.
  4. The mask really works but stay at home!
  5. Kids are least susceptible to the virus, so close the schools, stay at home and wear a mask.  ALSO:

  • Sunshine helps build the immunity against the virus, so stay indoors, at home and wear your mask.
  • Herd immunity has been proven many times over, but stay at home and wear your mask.
  • The virus is more viable with humans than animals, thus blame it on a bat, stay at home and wear your mask.
  • Isolation increases depressions and suicide, but trust us, stay at home and wear your mask.
  • Our economy is being devastated and people are losing their livelihood, but trust us, stay at home and wear your mask.
  • This is a free country, we aren't trying to take away your rights, so be sure to report anyone who violates our unconstitutional verdicts, and stay at home and wear your mask.
  • The elderly are more susceptible, so send those with the virus to the nursing homes but don't allow family there since family could encourage and help, trust us, stay at home and wear your mask.
  • There is a need to do temperature testing and tracing since the mask works so well! best to stay at home and wear your mask.
  • We are your leaders, we know what is best, trust us, stay at home and wear your mask.
  • Keep all people at home but let the felons loose from the prisons and imprison anyone who fails to comply. So stay at home and wear your mask.
  • OH, I also found out that those with O positive blood are the least likely to get the virus. I am O positive, so I better fear these leaders! I will now wear a necklace of garlic, stay at home and wear a mask! ?

A.  smoking weed makes one immune to the virus

"“It’s now pretty clear that there is data to show that if you are a smoker, you’re more likely to have adverse outcomes from COVID-19, need mechanical ventilation and to die than if you’re not a smoker,” said Richard Castriotta, a doctor specializing in pulmonary critical care at Keck Medicine of USC.

...

What does science say?

Early data was conflicting. Some reports indicated that smoking was not associated with increased adverse outcomes and that smokers were underrepresented in hospital settings, leading some — such as the celebrated painter David Hockney — to claim that smokers might even have immunity to the virus that has claimed more than 1,500 lives in California."

B.   hugs improves our immune system.

Here are 10 surprising health benefits of hugs:

1. Hugs boost oxytocin levels.  Elevated oxytocin levels lead to lessening of feelings of anger, loneliness, and isolation.

2. Hugs raise serotonin levels.  Elevated Serotonin levels improve your mood, create happiness, and help to regulate your sleep cycle.

3. Hugs release endorphins.  Endorphins are the body's natural pain relievers, so getting a hug will actually soothe your aches and pains!

4. Hugs increase production of dopamine.  Dopamine is produced in the reward center of the brain and makes you happy, relieves depression, and just makes you feel good all over.

5. Hugs reduce levels of circulating cortisol in the blood.  Cortisol is known as the stress hormone.  By reducing the amount of cortisol circulating in the blood, hugs can alleviate stress and calm the mind.

6. Hugs lower blood pressure.  Hugs activate pressure receptors in the skin called pacinian corpuscles, which send signals to the part of your brain responsible for lowering blood pressure.

7. Hugs strengthen your immune system.  Hugs can help stimulate the thymus gland which regulates the body's production of white blood cells, which fight off disease.

8. Hugs relax your muscles.  Hugs relieve tension in the body and soothe pain.  As a result, they increase circulation to the soft tissue and relax the muscles.

9. Hugs balance the nervous system.  The same pacinian corpuscles which help to lower blood pressure also help balance out the nervous system.  The longer the hug, the more balanced the nervous system becomes.

10. Hugs are awesome!  You didn't need to read about the physiology behind hugs to know that they are awesome!  Hugs help us connect with the loved ones in our lives and they feel great.  They have a similar effect on the body as laughter and meditation by detaching you from stress and connecting you with mindfulness and happiness.  So give someone you love a hug today.  The bigger the better and the more the merrier!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
