I do share your concern for safety, and my family will be safe this year and years to come. and yes, I will live a little longer Lord willing (I am 68+) . . . Thank you for your concerns . . . you are blessed. I am glad you are mindful of safety. Roman candles are illegal here as well. But that doesn't keep people from buying them on Indian reservations and shooting them off in the dry field behind me. More are brought into the country from Mexico. We have a large population of farm laborers here that frequently make the trip. So all over town we hear them exploding. Two homes on the next block fire them off for every imaginable holiday.
