This thread is a restart of the concept, since for some reason, there has been a lot of activity on that old thread, though the voting stopped years ago. Those that know me, know I am not big on these mindless kinds of threads, but I recognize that they have a cathartic value or something for some. Well, I am repeating the experiment again. Everyone is sick of the recent elections I imagine, but I thought that an election here could be a bit less volatile, and without party affiliations, nor a need to be right and make sure that everyone else knows you are right. Since I am initiating this thread, I get to make the rules. They are not complex, but there are a few. 1 Omegaman selects the nominees the nominees. 2 Worthy members cast one vote per person for one of the nominees only (these are the primaries). 3 The primary voting will end as soon as practical (for me) after 2020 ends. 4 After that There will be a poll that you may voted in with the most popular nominees which will be in the Final election, which will run until the end of the first week of 2021 (Jan 7th @ 11:50:59 PM Pacific Time or 23:59:59 for you fake metric people) The following 31 flavors were chosen because I looked at half a dozen websites to see what the post popular pies I could find were. There are some international favorites there, but I looked only at sites that were in English. I made sure that not all the pies were sweet, and that not all the sweet pies involved what we usually consider to be fruit. The idea is that you pick one and one only from this list, that you want to see voted on in the final election which will be held in all of December. I ask you to not change you vote but if you want to, it is not against the rules. Your last entry, will be the one that is your vote. I am also going to ask, that you refrain from posting "LAST" or "New Page", there are plenty thread where you can do that without filling this with silly junk to wade through. Get too far out of line with similar nonsense, and you AND your vote, will be removed. - signed, the Grinch! I am going to go with wiki on this: A mince pie (also mincemeat pie in New England, and fruit mince pie in Australia and New Zealand) is a sweet pie of English origin, filled with a mixture of dried fruits and spices called "mincemeat", that is traditionally served during the Christmas season in much of the English-speaking world.
