You may not remember but it wasn't that long ago when you delivered encouraging words to me, David. I was on the verge of leaving this forum myself. The words you shared were an answer to a prayer and I heard the Spirit in what you had to say. I'm humbled that I was able to do the same for you my friend.

All the more reason to remain. Consider where might those be that need truth.

Need the truth? Yes.

Want the truth? Often not.

Where was your mind before Christ?

Can't believe Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday.

Time has certainly flown by in Covid-land without my noticing all that much. So, after Thanksgiving: Black Friday, followed by Cyber-Monday, then next stop Christmas. Christmas means the end of the dumpster fire we call 2020 is finally in sight . . . unless that light at the end of the tunnel is really an oncoming train!

There was a time when I thought Christmas was bad but no more. I came to realize that the Christmas season is a time of year when even some of the meanest people around get a little nicer. So I see God uses this season for His purposes which makes it a good thing. Merry Christmas to everyone .

I figure why not hijack a "pagan holiday" for God's glory? So long as Christmas has Christ at the center I have no issue with it.

Merry Christmas, folks.  :)

Agreed brother.

God never ceases to amaze me because when I was saved, and then learned Christmas had been a pagan holiday, I didn't want anyone to observe it. Back then I have my whole family a hard time. But I was wrong. God uses the Christmas season to soften the hearts of many people. This truly does amaze me. God is good.

Me neither.

Nah, how about if I don't? I think I'll pass. Enjoyed the laugh, though.

Romans 14:5-13
"One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.  He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.  For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;  for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord........ Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way."

Merry Christmas, everyone. ;)
