Sin is inevitable, unless one were to die... This is  what scripture says;

Romans 6:7 (NASB)
“for he who has died is freed from sin.”

Scripture says that one who has died is freed from sin... What is the meaning of this scripture?

Yes it is true, that if one were to really and truly die they would be free from not only sinning, but free from all influences of this world...

Could it be this is what scripture is talking about? That we, by faith, are supposed to so identify with our deaths in Christ that we are to see ourselves as dead to all things in this world?

If this is true, than most assuredly would this verse be pointing us toward how to be made free from sin...

So then the question would be, have we really and truly died with Christ? For scripture puts forth this truth in so many different ways and so many different places...

Therefore than, it would be a matter of if we were to believe it or not, or still again, if we wanted to believe it or not..

The question could be asked;

Are we willing to die to not only sin, but our very lives of this world?  If being willing meant we would be freed from sin and all influences of this world?

For the salvation offered in Christ is absolute, it needs nothing added to it.. The freedom from sin is there, if one would be willing to accept the salvation offered in Christ as it is offered in Christ..

Which is a total giving oneself over to the death that Christ died, as their death... For death frees one from all things... This death that frees one from all things is always accessible to any believer at any moment of time, if one would want it and turn the faith of their heart towards it...

For when Christ died He really and truly took us to death with Him on the cross, this was to free us from the corruption that is in this world through our fall into the life of it... It is reckoning upon this truth as the truth of truths that will free one to walk in this newness of life spoken of...

Faith in one’s death in Christ, as this faith grows, will one begin to walk in this freedom from sin in this newness of life put forth as a free gift... For then one has entered into the rest of God... Now rather then struggle, one trusts... One trusts Christ to live His life in and through them, even if it looks like He would slay them.. Which in fact it really doesn’t matter, because one has already died and their life is hid with Christ in God..

For left to our own devices we will fail, but the salvation we have in Christ, is complete, absolute and awesome to the degree one enters into it..

For those that touch Christ with faith receive.... Be blessed in the salvation that is yours in Christ..

From the first day that Adam and Eve were rocking on the Garden paths, God told them that if they ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,  they would surely die.   But Adam lived on for 900 more years? So either God fibbed, or something else happened

They died spiritually. Sin robbed them of their life with God,  they died

Which is why Jesus told Nicodemus that if you are to see the kingdom of heaven, you have to be born again

John 3:

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

So death being talked about here, is spiritual death....eternal death that only be made right, with eternal life

Rom 5:19  For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The physical death of Christ, undoes the physical death of the Redeemed.

1Co 15:42  So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

and what's more

THE WHOLE CREATION THAT WAS POLLUTED BY SIN

AND BECAME SUBJECT TO DEATH

WILL BE DELIVERED

Rom 8:19-21  For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.  (20)  For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;  (21)  because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Yes Christ’s death on the cross undo’s the fall..

Be blessed in the experiencing of that undoing..

Good post,

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

Oh, the freedom and joy one would know, if they could live in the truth and reality of it..

Even joy in the hope of it..!   Be blessed in that hope..

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
