Matthew 24;29-44

  

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of the Heavens shall be shaken.  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in Heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other.  

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only.  

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark; And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 24:37-44

''But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. These teachings are very important to understand in truth.

I think our LORD is speaking of his coming and giving a warning to his followers to keep their houses secure. Two warnings in one.

The thing that throws me off a little, is when Christ said,'Behold, I come as a thief in the night'.

I think he is talking here about 'the thief that comes in the night' as a reference point to his followers. When Christ speaks, it is usually about spiritual things. There is a thief who comes in the night and Christians must protect their goods from him, or your valuables will be stolen and when our LORD comes, you will be naked and your poverty will be apparent.

This teaching is understood also by having experienced the thief trying to break into your house to steal your soul or your righteous covering. If you are a faithful servant, you will be armed and have protection for your valuables and not allow your house to be broken into.

From personal experience, when the thief breaks into your house, one is truly taken and the other is left behind. I understand this very well. Some may see and experience the attempted robbery taking place, while others who are not as faithful, will be unaware that they can be broken into by the thief and have their spiritual possessions stolen, and not be aware of it , if or when it happens.

So just as the thief comes unawares, so will our LORD also come. Who has the title of thief and murderer and liar? He is warning us about the things of spiritual warfare, and that we need to be armed and prepared, both for His coming and that of the thief.

Is your house secured, or has it already been broken into and your valuables stolen? Were you one who saw the thief coming, and speaking dark sentences in order to break into your house and steal your possessions?

Have you stood up against the forces of Darkness with our LORD and Father at your side to deliver you from the thief and keep your house intact, after which a seal was placed on your house, securing your possessions?  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Have you ever had to use your full-armour of God to defend against the evil ones? Have you wielded your sword and destroyed the enemy? Have you felt the actual power of any part of your armour as it was being used against the enemy?

Have you experienced how your Helmet of Salvation protects your mind against the forces of Darkness and your breast-plate protects your heart and the things you hold dear, which our LORD has given us?

Spiritual warfare is so real and until you go to war to defend your possessions, such as your righteous covering, which you receive when you are saved, as well as your Soul, which is basically you, you will not truly understand. He steals, kills, destroys and enslaves Human Souls.

Your spiritual possessions are important, but Satan and his minions can steal them from you. They tried with me. I have been tested and tried, searched, sealed and refined. The LORD will reveal to us the things that are ours.

We will see the sign of his coming. We are now in the time of sorrows. When the temple is set up in Jerusalem, we will be in the Tribulation period. Watch for the next Pope... he is the eighth and is of the seven. He is probably already installed. Where is Francis?
