Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also Live with him:

8:10 And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.

Here we have three references to the term "dead" referring to a death that is not final. Now consider these verses in reference to the sons/children of God.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Here Paul confirms that the sons of God and the children of God are one and the same and in Luke, Jesus states that the children of God are the children of the resurrection.

Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

Luke 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

My question is, if those who are dead in Christ have become children of God through the resurrection neither marry nor are given in marriage, why are there so many married pastors and ministers claiming to be anointed in Christ when Jesus says the children of this world marry but the children of world to come do not?

Matthew 22:28  In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.”
29  But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30  For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

Sadducees Ask About the Resurrection
Luke 20:27  There came to him some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection,
28  and they asked him a question, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies, having a wife but no children, the man must take the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.
29  Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died without children.
30  And the second
31  and the third took her, and likewise all seven left no children and died.
32  Afterward the woman also died.
33  In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? For the seven had her as wife.”
34  And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage,
35  but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage,
36  for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

1Cor 7:28  But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that.

1Tim 4:1  Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,
3  who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Hebrews 13:4  Let marriage be held in honour among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

1Tim 3:2  Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

1Tim 3:12  Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well.

Interesting. If Jesus said the children of this world marry but the children that are worthy of the resurrection do not, I tend to hold that higher than any one else's teachings that followed. I would also add that Jeremiah was forbidden to marry and if he had disobeyed and gotten married it would have been an offense to God, a sin, but Paul says those who marry have not sinned which leaves out the right for God's authority to call them to remain single. It seems, at times, by his own confession, that Paul's judgements are his own and not of the Lord, therefore, I am wary of his teaching always.

Luke 18:29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or WIFE, or children, for The Kingdom of God's sake,
18:30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come Life Everlasting.

Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from [their] mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for The Kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it].

Although I do not see Jesus expressly forbidding marriage, I do see him pointing to or hinting at the idea that those who will be chosen to be accounted worthy of the resurrection are those who remain unencumbered by a wife but I also realize I am not the one who decides on which men get the anointing. It does however make me suspicious of men who claim to have it yet who also engage in pleasures of the flesh. If the body is dead, that would be difficult to do without raising thoughts of lust in my opinion.

Matthew 8:14  And when Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.
15  He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.

Peter who was the most senior of the apostles was married (to a wife).

Matthew 19:9  And I [Jesus] say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”
10  The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11  But he said to them, “Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those to whom it is given.
12  For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.”

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
28  In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

1Cor 9:5  Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
