My point is not important I just wanted you to see those verses. You asked a question and I thought maybe it would help. If it doesn’t at least I know I tried.

Thank you

there are many things I don't quite understand and much im guilty of. Where do I turn but the Lord,? This is why I say I have Jesus because he is every persons hope, even mine. With a heavy heart and I tear in my eye I feel blessed.

Yes but I don't believe bread and wine becomes flesh and blood.

Jesus never said that the bread and wine becomes his flesh and his blood.

He said to the people unless you eat my flesh...and....

Jesus Christ by that time he did not only knew that he has to die on the Cross but he also knew that the people who follow him would be the same people who would be shouting "crucifie him, crucifie him"

And they would not rest till they kill him on the Cross.

That's why Jesus said to them "unless YOU eat my flesh and ..." unless YOU kill me, you cannot have Life, or Life cannot come to people.

So Jesus told them that in a figurative language which only he understood.

Jesus knew at that time that he had to die that there is not any other way to accoblish the redemption of mankind.

And at that time he knew that the Leaders together with some of the people who follow will demand his death on the Cross.

Jesus Christ also knew that was the will of God and the only way for mankind to be saved.

So Jesus Christ was telling them that you will kill me in a way that you will see by blood flowing out of my wounds.

Then the Salvation will come to you.

This is the only way for me to be the bread of Life.

Or for Life to come to people.

It was said symbolically.

I agree its symbolism.

Interestingly, I read that early Christians were sometimes accused of cannibalism by the Romans because of the Lord's Supper which was usually held in private and not open to outsiders or even catechumens.

Literally is sickening just to think about that.

It's the same thing when People say that the stars who are multiple times the mash of the earth (not a comet, but the stars the other planets) will fall on earth and the earth will take THE BLOWS and survive. And we will look at the fallen planets on the earth as evidence that it happened.

Like life will continue.

Or without the light and the heat of the Sun life will continue the way it was before.

Just to change the subject.

Review Leviticus 4, sin offerings. Notice the significance of both the flesh and the blood, then return to the Passover and crucifixion.

The truth is that the people who heard Jesus were well educated in the book of Leviticus since they were very young.

But we read what Jesus Christ said that day, without that knowledge.

It takes long time to understand the book of Leviticus.

Which can be difficult to comprehend.

I would not suggest the Bible is neither fully figurative or fully literal - that is, literal in the way we would use the word these days. It is range of genres including history, poetry (which is often figurative), legal, wisdom, prophecy and myth. Each style can carry unique qualities that need to be addressed in different ways.

What part is myth?

I wish I could get some of you folks to look at the new covenant and get out of the old testament in view of trying to understand how the bible was written.
