So then just because 'futurists' were incorrect about technology doesn't mean futurism is incorrect.,

What did they say about technology?

This Revelation Timeline Decoded Bible study guide video is about the detriment of seminary and Bible college when it comes to understanding the prophecies in the 70th week of Daniel 9 and Revelation. My Revelation book features the witness of the great theologians who taught the historicist narrative of prophecy fulfillment before the false, futuristic explanations took hold. Here's a link to the Revelation Fulfillment Chart and Summary Study PDF's https://revelationtimelinedecoded.com...

forgive me, but isnt that yet another mans interpretation of prophecies?

Better to read, pray, read more, pray again and ask Holy Spirit to heal our past teaching and open our minds to God Word again. Write down what was taught and any questions, then ask and make time for the Gret Teacher to teach us himself, I think.

I have friends who have been in cults and are still battling the previous teaching. I recommend my above paragraph, not more reading of mans books  or videos from others, at least to begin with until their learning is on a sure footing from God, and only if God leads them to such writers.

A good point, but it was a part of the Geneva bible until it was removed in later translations. It was the commonly held view until just a few centuries ago.

When the 'dispensational' ideas took hold, everything changed and 'prophesy' was rewritten.

Go to my original first posting. The OP explains it all.

It had study notes not in the KJV.

The Geneva Bible is one of the most historically significant translations of the Bible into English, preceding the King James Version by 51 years.[1] It was the primary Bible of 16th-century English Protestantism and was used by William Shakespeare,[2] Oliver Cromwell, John Knox, John Donne, and John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrim's Progress (1678).[3] It was one of the Bibles taken to America on the Mayflower. (Pilgrim Hall Museum has collected several Bibles of Mayflower passengers.) The Geneva Bible was used by many English Dissenters, and it was still respected by Oliver Cromwell's soldiers at the time of the English Civil War, in the booklet "Cromwell's Soldiers' Pocket Bible".[4]

This version of the Bible is significant because, for the first time, a mechanically printed, mass-produced Bible was made available directly to the general public which came with a variety of scriptural study guides and aids (collectively called an apparatus), which included verse citations that allow the reader to cross-reference one verse with numerous relevant verses in the rest of the Bible, introductions to each book of the Bible that acted to summarize all of the material that each book would cover, maps, tables, woodcut illustrations and indices.

Do you think that the Bible as we have it today is exactly as God wants it or do you believe it is corrupted in some way?
