Has anyone noticed if you ever watched any of the people they have on there, doesn' t matter which, male, female that they yell all the time? :Some turn to screaming at you?

But G-d isn't in the whirlwind he doesn't need to shake the foundations out from under you in stomping preachers around a podium( notice how many of them just can't stand still?) but rather G-d is in the still small voice, that speaks gently and lovingly, wooing you, not screaming at you,

Praise Jesus!!!!  Somebody give me an AMEN!

I can't stand screaming.. I wont even watch if someone is yelling.. I spent 15 years with a man that yelled at me all the time totally turns me off.. .. probably the same spirit thats running the show on The Blasphemy Network ..

oh and when I used to go to church.. one night at bible study we watched Jesse Duplantis video of his story of his trip to heaven.. He said Jesus yelled and screamed while he was preaching in heaven ????????????????????????

That whole video was strange.. except the part when he said.. to all the ladies that have lost babies or have had abortions.. that they are in heaven..

I cried when he said that.. it touched my heart..

Christ did say we would be like the angels in heaven:

Mark 12 25:

"For when they rise from the dead they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven."

Which of course is a lot different from being like God.

I don't like many of the televangalists for the same general reasons mentioned above. They don't seem biblically based and they seem to be really getting rich off basically selling the Word of God or their version of it.

I don't have a problem with ministers making a good wage in proportion to their responsibilities, but I would never think a true minister of God wold be getting remarkably wealthy off working in the Word of God. What I mean is that many Christians are wealthy and that is not sinning in any way as long as they use their wealth properly, but I find it totally different to become wealthy selling the Good News.  In fact Paul mentions these people,

Timothy 6

"Useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing with these we shall be content."

How does that compare to what these guys are saying?

What do people think of James Dobson? I kind of like Focus on the Family and have used their resources for research, etc, he seems like a pretty straight shooter to me.

I agree.. I think if a person is doing a good work for the Lord.. He should be blessed by the Lord.. but to live in a million or 5 million or 10 million dollar mansion and have a bunch of other homes of equal value all over the world..

if these preachers sold all their houses they could stop the hunger and sickness in the world and they wouldn't even have to have crusades or or conventions !

James Dobson is ok.. I go to focus on the family often to read articles and I like the radio broadcast.. except when he talks about all the people that talk bad about him..

I watched some woman one night, can't remember her name-real pretty lady though, doing her pitch to support the local Christian station, VTN. She started in as to how you needed to pledge, etc. It was quite obvious that she had money, so why wasn't she doing something to help? She probably was getting a cut of the kitty and that's why she was pushing so hard.

And then there's the ole boy who likes to play with numbers. I can't think of his name off hand, but he gets up with his little cards and says that the number 6 is a triple blessing, etc. This guy is whacked out!

Quit twisting scripture! This passage is saying we won't be given in marriage just like the angels aren't given in marriage.

We are created in the God class of being...we were created like God Himself...only slightly lower because He is the Creator and we are the Created!

The created can never be greater than the Creator.

I live and attend church close to the TNN broadcasting studio. You would NOT believe how many people end up at our church asking for help after they have given everything they have and then TNN doesn't seem to want them around anymore.

One young lady and her grandmother were left stranded here, with no way home and no money. They gave their car and their jewelry to them and didn't even have anything left to sell or pawn.

Yeah, its a ministry alright a ministry of the all might dollar!

I am really enjoying this thread. I think this the first time I have had a good laugh at such a heavy subject. Anyways, I am glad the True Spirit of God is awakening people up to see the false shepherds and prophets as I have come to know. I heard all these preachers and whew...i feared for the people.

anotherchristiangirl. You know you have denounced so of the major teachings in some of the most prominent churches.

I am also, glad that many are seeing the Holy Spirit as the boss and head and not the PUN..tail..lol of Christian sanctification.
