It's time to be thankful. How has God opened doors for you? How has He made a way for you when it didn't look as if there was a way?

How has God been with you through the hard times?

Share ways that God has showed up in your life in ways you would never expect.

In my life God has always provided when I didn't have two pennies to rub together. I had a bad health evaluation yet here I am 5 plus years later still able to move around and do what I want to do.

God has been SO merciful to this stubborn and sometimes rebellious believer. God is with me in the smallest of ways when I seek Him. He has never left me. He comforts when times and circumstances are bad. Daily God shows me He is there working in small ways to make my paths straight and safe. Even in my occasional unfaithfulness God has been faithful.

I draw near to Him and He draws near to me. There is nothing like my relationship with Him to compare to anything else.

God ALWAYS comes through in His own time and in His own ways.

We are truly His sheep and He gently guides us in the ways that are best for us. AMEN!

So many times God has pulled through for me. But the one genuine miracle I can always point to is when he simply took the desire and need to smoke away.  I was about to start bible college and they had a rule that you could not smoke, drink or do drugs and you had to sign an agreement that you would do none of that. Drinking and drugs were not a problem as I did not use. But I was a smoker and I had tried to quite many times. As I like to say I quit smoking 100 times.....but never stopped.

Now I was in a particularly vulnerable time of my life and I was firmly convinced that God had called me to go to this bible college. I was also firmly convinced that there was no way I could quit smoking. I tried and failed so many times.

So there I was...with the agreement in front of me and a pen in my right hand and cigarette in my left. Somehow God gave me the faith to say. Well God , if you want me to go to this place, you are going to have do something about my smoking, because I can't

I took a last puff, stubbed out the cigarette and signed the paper

and I never wanted another cigarette again.  I had no withdrawals, no desire to smoke. It was just instantly gone.  And I never developed that aversion to cigarette smoke that people who quit have. I could pick it up today, but that would be a horrible affront to God and His most DIRECT miracle in a life full of them.

(btw I consider my stubbornness to be one of my best qualities, as long as it is applied correctly ;) )

I am an artist.  But my work hasn't really sold much yet. I live with my parents at 36 years old. God gave me amazing parents. I live in Africa in a country with 40% unemployment.  Many can't afford the basics. Yet here I am. I have had the best education you can get in South Africa,  I open the fridge and I can choose what I want to eat. I sleep comfortably in a bed each night. I open a tap and knowvthat I'm not going to get sick from drinking the water. In every need I have not only been provided for, but much more than I deserve I am very rich.

And then I can say that I know God as my Provider, my Saviour,  ny Father. And so much more.

I have been really messed up an depressed sometimes.  But somehow God has always pulled me through .

Without even trying to exaggerate here, my funeral should have been a long gone ordeal by at least 14 accounts.  From being placed in the line of fire to other people's mistakes to my own to plain circumstances beyond anyone's control and doing.   God had His Reasons for keeping me above ground.   I've seen no way out become a surreal moment where it seemed as if I was walking directly past those trying to bring harm, and for some reason, they completely did not see me as it led to my escape.

I've been told on interviews that I am 1 of how many candidates applying for this position and somehow I out qualified the entire lot.   I've been hungry and not begging but have people stop by, see me walking, some how just noticed me and slipped me cash.   I've had bills overdue and be threatened to be removed from my home when for some reason someone I never knew paid my back rent and forward rent giving me ample time to get back on track.   Had a person one time tell me he was trying to trade in his vehicle but it had no value.  Said he was still going to buy another vehicle but did not need more than he already had.   Then just hand me the key and title and said, it's yours!

Share ways that God has showed up in your life in ways you would never expect.

This story is so unbeliever when I share it I usually have my Mother, Sister, or the one Aunt who also experienced this along with my Dad and Grandmother both now with the Lord.

We were headed to my step-Grandfathers funeral in another state.  My aunt was driving and somehow misread the road signs.  We ended up in a portion of the highway that not only was closed but was a detour to completely miss where we were at.   So there was no traffic anywhere.

Anyways, the vehicle pulled over and stopped with my Aunt telling my Dad and the rest the car was out of fuel.   We had no idea where we were.   This was around 1977 when there were no personal Mobile devices, no laptops, not even home computers.  So we were really lost.

At first, we sat there waiting for traffic or someone to come along and find us because [we didn't know where we were at was routing traffic to a whole other area].  Finally my Dad said, he needed to take the empty gasoline container and go hunt for a fuel station.   My Dad being a Minister/Bible Teacher had all of us get out of the car and form a circle holding hands and begin praying for safety and quick recovery time.   We were out there in the middle of nowhere interceding for God to [Make a way out of this tragedy].

I'll never forget as long as I live, we just finished praying and were hugging my Dad when headlights appeared and then a semi tractor trailer pulled up, got out of the rig, and came directly to where we were all standing.   The man looked at my Dad and said, Richard, to which seemed odd in how did this man know my Dad?  My Dad answered, yes, and the man said get Betsy (my Sister), Rich (me), Lois (my Grandmother), Marcia (my Mom), Elaine (my Aunt) and himself into the truck cab.   Then he got in and just started talking to us about God.   [I'll never forget], my Dad said, we Believe in God.   The man smiled and said, [I KNOW and one day you all will be with Me].

No sooner than the conversation began, the man said, here's a truck stop and there is a wrecker already hauling your vehicle here and will be filled with fuel.   We then knew from the name of the truck stop we were in West Virginia.   Finally our vehicle had arrived and the man said, I must go now but you will see me again.   Awestruck, when the man got back into his cab and took off, the roads in West Virginia are literally high peak to low valley over and over.   So we were able to watch his Rig climb up the first peak and then descended towards the valley.   He never came back up the next High Peak.   I remember we got into the vehicle a.s.a.p. and took off trying to find him but his Rig completely vanished into thin air.

I remember my Dad saying, we were just entertained by an Angel.

On each highway stretch in West Virginia, there's always a State Police Patrol set up.   We stopped and my Dad and Aunt got out to report what had happened.   The Officers told my Dad and Aunt this is the 3rd incident involving a semi and that they had searched everywhere and have never found its existence.

Yeah, God is Everything to me and I can't wait to thank Him in person for that little golden nugget that has kept me focused these past 20+ years living for Him!

It really should not surprise me that God regularly does these kinds of things because I know He watches over each one of us. protects and guides us. It is a blessing to hear a story like this. To see God working. To see that He has our back down to the smallest detail

Thanks for sharing your story and praise God.

More stories than I can count, but one of my favorites is about my oldest son when he was about 11 years old, old enough to ride a small riding lawn mower out in the country where I raised my family.

He ran out of gas, got the gas can, and refilled the tank, and then was suddenly in the garage with me, looking dejected, telling me he filled the gas tank but lost the cap to the gas can in the tall grass, he hadn't mowed yet.

I asked him if he had prayed and asked God to help him find the cap.

He instantly cheered up and ran off.

A few minutes later I heard him screaming at me, and when I got to where I could see him, he was jumping up and down, with his hand in the air showing me the gas cap and screaming "I prayed and it worked" - PRICELESS

I'll bet that was priceless to see as you say.

@Starise

Many decades ago, but like it just happened. I can still see him jumping up and down in the tall grass with the bright sun shining down on him.

One of the many precious memories I'll cherish for the rest of my life

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
