I did not Come to Bring Peace, but Rather to Bring a Sword and Division!

Luke 12:51
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Matthew 10:34
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Have you ever dealt with someone who denies God but accuses you of being negative?

On several occasions now a dear Friend has received the kind of news no one ever wants to hear, the possibility of Cancer.   On the first occasion, she had a spot on her leg and was told they needed to do a biopsy.   She asked me how I felt towards what the Doctor had told her.   I said, I don't believe it is Cancer, which is something you just don't say without being sure about it.   So they took a biopsy and sure enough, not Cancer.

The second occasion, a spot was discovered after a mammogram was performed.   And after physically examining the spot, the doctors were positive this was Cancer and even discussed removal of her mammary gland.   And they had her schedule for a biopsy.   Once again, she came to me and asked what I felt.   Once again, I told her i believe the Doctors are wrong and you will be good and to stop worrying.   By the day of her biopsy, they could no longer find the spot and after another examination there was nothing like it just disappeared.

After both of these incidents she asked how did I know this would not be Cancer.   God, I told her.   God had healed her and was showing her He is real and exists.

Then bam, a couple weeks ago she went to her dentist for a check up and the dentist discovered a loss of bone and she immediately went to Cancer.   She was then set up to see a specialist in this area and immediately he wanted to do an on the spot biopsy and he used the term Cancer.   Well, that led to contacting me.   After spending time and talking to her, she asked what I thought.   I still felt like I did before and said, it is not Cancer.   But this time, she exploded on me that I was uncaring, wasn't a true friend because I am not supporting her in her Cancer Crisis.   She said I am negative towards Doctors and hopes I suffer when she is buried after they cannot cure it.

That got me thinking about what Yeshua said, I suppose you think I have come to bring Peace, but nay, I have come to bring Division.   That Division between my dear Friend is my Faith and Belief in God and her disbelief.   Christ said, there will be so many in a household and due to BELIEF the people will split into division.   I am experiencing this first hand.   Now I know God is going to heal her and she will be good as she ever was.  But how many Miracles does it take before she realizes God is Real?

I ask for prayer in this situation and that God not only heals her completely of even simple headaches, but He wakes her up finally!

I also would ask, has anyone else dealt with such Division between a close friend or family member?

@kingdombrat

Yes my brother, several times.

The first time is the biggest shock.

Actually they were all big-time shocks come to think about it.

People wear masks and do a lot of pretending, and then one day the mask comes off, and your blind-sided and dumb-founded.

The first one was my oldest daughter who did it to me almost 30 years ago, and it is still confounds me, because we were so close and it came out of nowhere.

I raised her and my other kids in the church, but my ex-wife hated Christianity, and gave my daughter a choice who to be with.

If it was me, she told my daughter she would never see her again.

My daughter made a choice and left myself and the church for good.

I've never gotten over that, but sometimes God allows us to have crosses to bare.

Yes, and we know that the ‘sword of the Spirit’ is the Word of God and part of the Gospel armor we Christians are to put on.  Sadly, many people do not want to hear the Truth.  Revelation 1:16 also tells us that the sword is a two-edged sword.

Ephesians 6:17 "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"

Yes, division has happened multiple times in my family. Mostly, it happens when family members make their own choices about Jesus, the Word of God applied to their lives, and such. It stems from no relationship to Jesus, or, an shallow affirmation of Jesus without life changing effects.

I wish it were not so, but, it does happen.  Ray . .  .

Time is short and life itself is even shorter.  Those we call loved ones only have a little time left.   I am just amazed at after experiencing miracle after miracle, someone can still deny the existence of God.

Just to toss this out here:

Yesterday, my friend asked if I could go with her to the local dump because here dump trailer is full and creating a fly problem for her animals.  I hooked the trailer up and was already to go when it just burst into a downpour of rain.   She said, you were too late getting her and now I have to keep this trash until Tuesday.   I told her, do you see the entire cloud cover as far as the eye can see indicating massive rain?   I said, by the time we get to the dump (45 minute drive), there will be an opening of blue sky and dry land and you'll be able to rid yourself of this trash.   She just laughed and made some comment is this another God thing?

As we drove the rain got harder and harder and she just kept giving me the, it's gonna be dry huh?   It rained so hard we almost had to stop but we were also on a timing schedule because the dump closed within less than an hour.   She just kept saying we need to turn around, your God doesn't hear you, blah blah blah.   I finally said, if God does not come through for me with what I said I still have absolute Faith in him and believe in Him.   She just laughed.

We finally arrived to the dump area.   Now mind you, within a literal 60 mile radius it was just completely dumping rain.   And literally basically smack dab within this 60 mile radius was the dump itself.   We got there and the flagger directed us to which lane to take and we got right through and headed to the actual dumping area.   On the drive to the actual dumping area, I stopped to where several employees were standing.  I said, you know all around this place it is down pouring rain.  They said, that's what everyone keeps telling us.  I asked, has it rained here at all.  Not a single drop and there was a split within the darkened gray skies reflecting a beautiful calm blue and rays of sunshine.

I looked at my friend and just laughed.

Last night she called me and said, she was reading about her bone loss and as a siliac eating wheat before people knew about gluten free has been known to create her problem.   She went from this is Cancer to now it is heredity within less than 48 hours.    She could not deny what she saw yesterday or explain it when I asked her so what happened here, raining everywhere but not here, not where you needed to go.   She still can't explain it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GOD IS SO GOOD!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
