Are you with laziness of giving up all pet sin which makes your walking toward Christ prickly?

•    Pro 15:19 -> “The way of the lazy one is like a hedge of thorns, but the way of the righteous is made plain.”.

When someone is occupied with picayune things, they see difficulty in the opportunities:

•    Pro 22:13 -> “The lazy one says, There is a lion outside; I shall be killed in the streets.”.
•    Pro 26:13 -> “The lazy one says, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.”.

They see problem where there is no one:

•    Pro 28:1 -> “The wicked flee when no man pursues; but the righteous are bold as a lion.”.

The truth is that they are the problem. The lion that they see in the way, streets and outside is the righteous who points to them their mistakes:

•    Pro 22:5 -> “Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; he who keeps his soul shall be far from them.”

See the link between the way of the perverse and the way of the lazy. And the worst is that this way can be contagious, as we can see below:

•    Num 14:1-3 -> “And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried. And the people wept that night. And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. And the whole congregation said to them, Oh that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or, Oh that we had died in the wilderness! And why has Jehovah brought us into this land to fall by the sword, so that our wives and our sons should be a prey? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt”.

Here the problem wasn’t the giants and strongholds. The proof can be seen in Numbers 14:40-45. Many had courage to go to the fight. The problem is that there was no disposition in doing the Creator’s will, that is to say, to seek holiness and purity in the obedience of His word (see Heb 12:18-21).

So, have a magnificent day cutting all thorns in your life that hampers you of pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Phil 3:13,14), namely, the cares of this life, the fascination of the riches, the pleasures of life and other ambitions (Luke 8:14; Mark 4:19).
