What is better: the destruction of the evil or the propagation of the good?

•    “Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands. Give them sorrow of heart, your curse unto them. Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.” (Lamentations 3.64-66).

It’s true that the Holy Scripture says: “Hate the evil, and love the good…” (Amos 5.15). And, in fact, when we are going through some tribulation, we long for seeing the evil being overwhelmed. However:

•    How do we hope that our hot potatoes will be iron out? What do we expect that Jesus do against those who opt for being His enemies (and, consequently, ours)? “Give them sorrow of heart, curse”? “Persecute and destroy them thoroughly? So, how can the evil be eliminated if it lives in us and we take pleasure in make use of it when this fit us?
•    If the sin is the greatest predicament, then why Jesus didn’t quell it until today? More yet: why Jesus put the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2.17)? Why does He make the sore and the wound (Job 5.18)? Why does He create the darkness and the evil (Isaiah 45.7)? Why does He create the waster to destroy (Isaiah 54.16)?

Why doesn’t He destroy the darnel (Matthew 13.28,29)?

•    “He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Then do you want us to go and gather them up? But he said, No, lest while you gather up the darnel you also root up the wheat with them.” (Matthew 13.28,29).

To everything there is a season and a reason, and a time for every purpose under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3.1). And while all purpose of the Creator isn’t thoroughly wrapped up, He vouchsafe us:

•    His gifts (Ephesians 4.8);
•    His talents (Matthew 25.14;15);
•    His body (the Church – John 6.51-57);
•    His Spirit (John 16.8);
•    His grace and mercy (Hebrews 4.16);
•    His fruit (Galatians 5.22);
•    All His armor (Ephesians 6.10-18);
•    all things that appertain to life and godliness (2Peter 1.3).

In short, He blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ (Ephesians 1.3).
So, don’t whimper for:

•    the strength of the wind (Matthew 14.30),
•    the intensity of the fire or the huge quantity of water trying to overflow you (Isaiah 43.1-2),
•    the desert toward which you were leaded (perhaps by the Holy Spirit, as happened with Jesus – Isaiah 41.17,18;  Matthew 4.1);
•    the murkiness of the valley of the shadow of the death to which Jesus guide us in order to rescue His lost lamb (Psalms 23.4; Isaiah 9.1,2; Matthew 4.15,16; Luke 15.7);

Present your body in a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12.1), always looking stalwartly to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12.2), and certainly you will receive all the resources above quoted and will be more than conqueror in Jesus (Romans 8.37).

After all, the eyes of the Creator run to and fro in all the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him (2Chronicles 16.9). He will never allow something in your life that He already didn’t have registered in His book and sorted out for you before the world to be created  (Psalms 139.13-16).

So, to have access to what you need to know, pray to Him (Psalms 25.14; 1Thessalonians 5.17), meditate on His Holy Scripture (which it is also His book – Psalms 1.1,2) and have a victorious week in Christ Jesus.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
