What is the quality of our relationships? What do we do with them?

•    “She bitterly weeps in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers, she has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt deceitfully with her; they became her enemies.” (Lamentations 1.2).

There are two mistakes that we commit: 

•    Close ourselves around our family and intimacy friends;
•    Try to make many friends, but without have any compromise with them.

Do away with both of these demeanors. The correct is to keep in touch with people that Jesus gave us, always lying down everything that precludes us of get closer to them. However, at the same time, we should let that the strange people to partake what Jesus looks forward to doing through us in order to bolster His truth and power.

We can’t allow that our relationships die down, but also we shouldn’t despise strange people that come to us. Together with our disciples, we need to take advantage of each opportunity to allow Jesus to manifest, to people that He brings to us, how His teachings are prolific. This will join us together with our disciples more deeply, and, at the same time, arouse in the people that come to us the desire to do away with all boisterous or berserk deportment that arises acrimony and lashing out and brings nuisance.

May the contact with us prodding people to lie down their ambitions, let to die down all their stressful and prodigal work and spend time with their family and close friends in order to afforce all the bonds that allow Jesus to unveil His presence, will and miracles in our lives (Matthew 18.18-20).

So, if you crave for a good day, don’t allow that:

•    the wine can be made into vinegar (Sl 128.3);
•    the salt loses its flavor (Luke 14.34,35);
•    your manna becomes rotten with maggots, and stank (Exodus 16.20).

That is to say, your friends only will be turned into enemies if you don’t care for them. So…

•    “Know well the face of your flocks; set your heart on your herds. For riches are not forever; nor the crown from generation to generation. When the hay is removed, and the tender grass is seen, and mountain-plants are gathered, the lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of the field. And you shall have goats' milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, and a living for your young women.” (Proverbs 27.23-27).
