The true wisdom is stairs or a bridge?

Usually we look on the spiritual growth in the vertical direction. But is this true?

•    And He said to them, You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For *that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.*” (Luke 16.15).

It’s curious how everyone that long for approaching of Jesus mulls over in trying to reach Him in the higher places. Nevertheless, do you recall what did it took place when someone planned on doing this?

•    “How you are fallen from the heavens, O shining star, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart, I will go up to the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. *I will go up above the heights of the clouds*; I will be like the Most High.” (Isaiah 14.12-14).

If we don’t wish to have the same fate that Ha-Satan, let’s try to find Jesus in His temple: each person that believe in Him (1Corinthians 3.16; 6.19; 2Corinthians 6.16):

•    “For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity; whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” (Isaiah 57.15).

Therefore, instead of trying to grow upward in order to overpower people, let’s grow forward so that the abyss that set us apart from them can be passed over. If we do this, we will inherit Creator’s wisdom:

•    “He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.” (Proverbs 2.7).

And with His wisdom, we will be able to parry any attack of the enemy of our souls and will have a good day.
