Seated With Christ

The Lord says, it is important for his people to fight from the right position. The strategy of the enemy is to make the people of God look at the attacks rather than to keep their eyes on their God. This was the problem of the servant of Elisha in 2 Kings 6:15-17 when all he could see were the forces that were coming against them and the battle that they were facing, until Elisha prayed and asked the Lord to open his eyes so that he could see the heavenly forces that were backing them up. The Lord wants to open our eyes in this hour to see things from His perspective so that we can fight from the right position. We should not be fighting from the position of someone who is fighting for the victory, but from the position of someone who knows that they already have the victory. We always have to remember that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places above all principality, power, might, and dominion as the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:6 and Ephesians 1:20-23. Luke 10:19 also tells us that God has given us power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy. The means the enemy has NO POWER over us. If all power belongs to God (see Psalm 62:11) and God lives in us, then we have all power as well. This is why the Bible says in 1 John 4:4 that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world, because there is no greater force or power than the one that we carry in our earthen vessels (see 2 Corinthians 4:7). Here are a few steps that can be taken to awaken to your right position so that you can fight from the right position: 1) Meditate on the word. When we meditate on the word of God, it creates faith, confidence, and boldness so that we can always maintain the right perspective regardless of the voices of defeat that may try to sway our thoughts, or the “giants” that may try to over-magnify themselves, which begin to look more and more like grasshoppers as we meditate on the word and keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (see Hebrews 12:2). 2) Making time for the presence of God and for hearing the voice of God. God’s presence and His voice alone gives strength. There have been so many times where God has spoken to me in the midst of a situation just to encourage me and to confirm that although I was in a test or trial, He was going to bring me through it. Those specific, rhema words are priceless when you’re in a battle because when you hear a word from God, it makes you unshakeable and immovable, and helps you to maintain the right perspective in the battle. 3) Praying in the Holy Spirit. Praying in our heavenly language enables us to be built up on our most holy faith while also allowing the Spirit himself to make intercession for us (see Jude 1:20 and Romans 8:26-27). 4) Spending time in praise and worship. The Bible tells us in Psalm 22:3 that God inhabits the praises of His people. Whenever we magnify the Lord, we minimize the enemy. Maintaining an atmosphere and mindset of worship helps us to maintain the right position and perspective of victory.

We must always remember who we are, and remember our royal lineage. We are able to have the position that we have because of the blood of Jesus. He has made us kings and priests, and has given us all dominion (see Revelation 1:5-6, Revelation 5:9-10, and Genesis 1:26). Therefore, when we are praying or are in spiritual warfare, we do it from a perspective of authority and dominion, from the stance of a ruler, not from a place of defeat, because the only defeated foe is Satan. The Bible tells us in Psalm 82:6 that we are gods, because we are children of the most High God, and have His DNA. This is why Job 22:28 says we can decree a thing, and it SHALL be established, because where the word of a king is, there is power (see Ecclesiastes 8:4). Use your words to declare and decree what you want to see, and use your words to move those mountains, because the power is within you to do so (see Mark 11:23). So let’s maintain our rightful position, and always remember that the battle has already been won.

This is only true when speaking in complete obedience and not in our own initiative.   Jesus only said and did what the Father showed Him to say and do.  We should never be so presumptious to declare and decree whatever we want to see.   Not even Christ did that, though satan tempted Him to use power selfishly.  Jesus said "Nevertheless, not My will but Thine be done."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
