We can still judge

I know the Bible says judge not lest ye be judge yourself but Jesus judged….he called the Pharisees a brood of vipers he called them the sons of The devil 😱

he also warned us to look out for wolves in sheep‘s clothing you can’t do these things unless you judge you still have to be a good judge of character you cannot condemn but you can still be judgemental  as far as being able to detect a wolf in sheep‘s clothing

So we can’t oversimplify things either it is best that we try not to be judgemental but as the example as I stated above Jesus judged and he still will judge and we are expected to be able to detect wolves in sheep’s clothing so we have to be judge mental at times we just have to be careful not to condemn

I wish I had more time to go into that but this is my 10 minute break I hope you guys are having a great weekend🥰

We can judge but we are not to judge hypocritically.

Yes I’m in total agreement with that statement, Jesus was the one without sin he better than any of us could be judgemental 🥰

Thats a very good point

I'm not necessarily vindictive, but I do take things a little too personally sometimes. Revenge has yielded me nothing but sorrow. I've hurt a lot of people physically and emotionally. I know how I've felt afterwards and live with those regrets. All I can do is pray about it and strive to get better by crucifying the flesh on a daily basis.

I wonder if its got to do with being able to "look outside of yourself".I believe its something that can be worked on the more we become aware of it.Its a continuous awareness of Christ's teaching "Do for others what you want them to do for you:"(Good News Bible Mt 7:12 a)In this regard, I find this bit of advice pretty useful around the house and my relationship with folks in general.

Stephen Covey in his "The 7 habits of Highly Effective Families p 29"writes "It is so easy to be reactive!Don't you find this to be the case in your own life? You get caught up in the moment. You say things you don't mean...later regret. And you think, 'Oh , if only I had stopped to think about it, I never would have reacted that way!'...

What we all need is a 'pause button'- something that enables us to stop between what happens to us and our response to it, and to choose our own response. It's possible for us as individuals to develop this capacity to pause. And it's also possible to develop a habit right at the center of a family culture of learning to pause and give wiser responses...that pause button in the family...to cultivate the spirit of acting based on principle-centered values instead of reacting based on feelings or circumstances."

Easier said than done, I do admit, nevertheless something to chew on I believe.

Bitterness is to be found/ uncovered by God......it can be a long journey ,for the ignorant, once found and dealt with by the Lord, it’s root has been dug up, for which  the seed can’t be sown and take root again....first, you have to understand what bitterness is....my ramblings as usual...🙏

Hey @Rosie1jack2pauline3 😊

Hoping you're keeping well, and enjoying the Lord 😊
