I’m broke I guess that makes me a minimalist😅, actually I’m doing well I’m not living like a rockstar but Gods provides everything I need.. I have never been one to try to live above my means so it has blessed me with a feeling of being content 🙂, I do still keep some things around like a not so big pack rat , I find the Lord sometimes will help me find use for it later, unlike my grandparents who kept everything from newspapers from 1960 to grime crusted mason jars filled with whatever it was 🤣 Some people hoard till they can’t move in their living spaces but I find I like my space and being minimalistic isn’t a bad thing as long as you are content with what the Lord is providing for you

I think I related to the video because at work I can overhear the conversations taking place it’s all about will smith and Ukraine , how everyone has it figured out and I think to myself “ you feed on these distractions like cattle 🐄 to a feeding Thoth” I don’t watch the media but even I can’t be immune to the narrative they are spinning just going on google and you are bombarded with distractions so I think the video hit home when I thought of a saying that went something like “ the best way of avoiding a trap 🪤 is knowing of its existence” , this video is more of an eye opener to show that people not in the faith are easily distracted and blind to coming events, unlike us who have the truth 📖, cell phones and technology aren’t evil and like you said feeding yourself with Gods word will keep you from being surprised when the enemy strikes , I can’t even approach my coworkers because they are so distracted that it is like talking to a brick wall 🧱 yes stand firm lean into the truth of Gods word and cleave to his Love for us , know that as his children we have been given a knowledge of the days to come that we aren’t blinded by the worlds distractions 🌎

Humans are subject to temptations no matter what ‘title’ they hold whether it’s pastor or janitor Just this week my assistant GM at my job was fired for sleeping with one of our managers, he gave into temptation did he use his position to get favors from the manager or did she find men in power to be an aphrodisiac like some women do? power is just as strong of a turn on for women as good looks, look at the politicians and the women they have been caught with… do you think those same men would even get a second glance from those young girls if they weren’t in power? Having the title pastor doesn’t make you immune to temptations, BUT your faith will strengthen you and give you the fortitude to not give into sin i started to watch the new documentary on hillsong but 5 minutes into it I turned it off, why waste my time with tabloid worldly things when I could focus on better things? janitor, fast food worker, or pastor as long as we live on this corrupt planet we have to guard ourselves and learn lessons from those that gave into the flesh 🙏

The preacher was making a distinction that wisdom and knowledge were 2 different things, but sometimes the 2 go hand in hand Solomon had wisdom, granted from god but did he have the knowledge to realize that allowing and becoming a willing participant in his many wives false idol worship would lead to the death of his kingdom right after he died? As it was split in 2 it would never be the same Solomon was a victim of his own success a person that was good at giving advice but didn’t take his own advice and his would be the last time the tribes had peace as his son didn’t inherit his wisdom and listened to the wrong people causing civil war do knowledge and wisdom go hand in hand? I love this thread and see the meaning is well meant But I’m reminded of the RCC and their “ holy objects” the bones of the apostles, the thorn off the crown of thorns, a nail from the crucifix, and yet they destroy Gods word, they invent doctrine out of thin air and defile everything special to the Lord The Lord says he doesn’t need sacrifices, and from unbelievers he DETESTS their offerings can’t stand the smell of their incense instead of putting objects into a revered state first and foremost we revere the Lord, I have many bibles,. I even keep one in the bathroom 🚽.. is this defilement? Do I not want to be so separated from God that I can’t even take a poo 💩 without reading some of his word? You are correct that John is referencing The Roman Empire when using Babylon since Babylon was the greatest of Old Testament empires he would be relating it to the current greatest empire ( Rome) to his readers, I also think it could be a reference to the destruction of any empire that would persecute the church such as nazi Germany for example, they burned churches and killed priests or anyone that went against hitlers ideology so Babylon could have multiple meanings BUT it is true Johns book focused a lot on the Roman Empire ,. The seven heads.. the 7 emperors, the wounded head being Nero, the number 666 is the numerical equivalent of the name and title Nero Caesar according to Hebrew numerology and the fact that at the time of writing it was a belief called “ Neros resurrection” that Nero’s spirit was causing further persecution through the current emperor,… so the head comes back to life, his readers would know of this theory at the time,. So you are spot on with the relationship of the beast and especially Babylon meaning Rome
