What do you serve the Creator for?

What do you serve the Creator for? Because you love the cult in your congregation or because you long for being transformed by His love? (Part 1)

•    “Amo 4:4,5 -> “Come to Bethel, and transgress; to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days; offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill offerings, publish them; for so you love to do, O people of Israel!” declares the Lord GOD.”. 

The cult had its ordinances. For instance:

•    Num 28:3,4 -> “And you shall say to them, This is the food offering that you shall offer to the LORD: two male lambs a year old without blemish, day by day, as a regular offering. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight;”;
•    Deu 14:28 -> “At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns.”; 
•    Deu 26:12 -> “When you have finished paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, which is the year of tithing, giving it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your towns and be filled,”.

However, they transformed the cult in something amusing. So, instead of going there to approach themselves of the Creator and everything that He is, they transform the cult in a entertaining club, a meeting point, a way of passing the time and escape from the loneliness.

As you can see, the tithes, which it was to be given from three to three years, they pass to give from three to three days.

Many people bewilder the joy of the Holy Spirit with the joy of the flesh. It wasn’t the cult itself that should make them elated, but the presence of the Holy Spirit while they meet to exercise the piety.

Today, the true cult to the Creator isn’t offered in temples, but in our body (John 4:21-24):

•    Rom 12:1 -> “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1Cor 3:16; 6:19; 2Cor 6:16; 1Pe 2:5-8). And our relish comes from offering our life so that Jesus can reveal Himself to cover multitude of sins. And how glorious is this:

•    Jas 5:19,20 -> “Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”. 

Take a look at the following promise:

•    Pro 17:8 -> “Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.”.
