Listen to Hear

Do you have ears to hear what God says? If so, do you listen? Then, do you do what you are instructed to do?

Mark 4:[23] If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

If you are born again by the Spirit of God, you have ears to hear, but you must choose to listen and then do what you hear. Are you doing what you know to do inside? 

John 16:[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The record of Israel was written for our example. They heard God, but they didn't do what He told them to do. They could have had the Promised Land, but they refused to go into it by doing what God said.

Joshua 5:[6] For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

God can bring you into the Promised Land that He has for you. But only if you do what He says. It's your choice. Shalom

Hebrews 3:[7] Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
[8] Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
[9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
[10] Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
[11] So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
[12] Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
[13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
[14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
[15] While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Good topic

Today I got to work and found the weekday shift was working, I called in because they are a real negative force to be reckoned with.. especially if they are forced to work overtime

But I don’t like missing work, it’s a burden to me .. not so much for my own detriment but because I hate feeling like I let my bosses down

The spirit inspired me to call back and let them know I would work a half shift ( by this time the weekday shift will be gone)

I could have chosen to stay home all day but I felt a tug by the spirit to call so now that burden is lifted , it’s a win - win for me

The spirit guides me and I would like to think I’m sensitive to when he pulls me in a certain direction and I’m glad he does because I’m lost without him, I have a past reputation for self sabotage and by listening to him he keeps me on the path we both want to be on 🥰

I give God the praise and the glory for leading me and I’m open to his will being done for my life
