What kind of children are you bringing up?

•    Pro 17:21 -> “He who sires a fool gets himself sorrow, and the father of a fool has no joy.”.

One of the great mistakes that people make nowadays is to put their children in the day care center. For the most that the person loves children and have great concepts and values before the Creator, isn’t in vain that the Creator put the children in the womb of the mother. The lean is they grow in a bad way.

See what took place in the time of Amos:

•    Amo 7:1-6 -> “ This is what the Lord GOD showed me: behold, he was forming locusts when the latter growth was just beginning to sprout, and behold, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings. When they had finished eating the grass of the land, I said, “O Lord GOD, please forgive! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!” The LORD relented concerning this: “It shall not be,” said the LORD. This is what the Lord GOD showed me: behold, the Lord GOD was calling for a judgment by fire, and it devoured the great deep and was eating up the land. Then I said, “O Lord GOD, please cease! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!” The LORD relented concerning this: “This also shall not be,” said the Lord GOD. ”.

One of the reasons for coming in the mind of the Creator so big judgment can be seen below in Micah:

•    Mic 2:9 -> “The women of my people you drive out from their delightful houses; from their young children you take away my splendor forever.”.

And the worst is that, if someone is punished, everybody who abide in that home (or city, country, world) suffer the aftermaths. After, when their children part toward the bad path, they want to blame the society, government, etc., and even the Creator. After all, they pray and don’t hear any answer.

Many times, for mercy, the Creator hear our prayers, as we can see in Amos. Nonetheless, why don’t we pray to Jesus before do the things? Why do we ignore the advices of the Holy Scripture? For instance:

•    Pro 19:18 -> “Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on putting him to death.”.
•    Pro 22:6 -> “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”.
•    Pro 29:15 -> “The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.”.
•    Pro 29:17 -> “Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.”.
•    Pro 23:13,14 -> “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol.”.

So, have a good day instructing personally your child (instead of outsourcing this job) and, only then, pray to Jesus. If you don’t fulfill your role in the life of your children you will be tempting Jesus, provoking Him to zeal. And, for sure, Ha-Satan will send someone to teach the evil.

Wonderful and insightful thoughts Leonardo.  Parents also call upon God for direction on how to train and discipline children. Manoah, the father of Samson, wanted his son to grow up in the right way. So he prayed to the Lord for guidance in the training of his boy. “Excuse me, Lord,” prayed Manoah. “The man of God that you just sent, let him, please, come again to us and instruct us as to what we ought to do to the child that will be born.” “Accordingly God listened to the voice of Manoah and the angel of God came” and instructed them. Their son grew up to be a faithful servant of God. (Judg. 13:8-14) Follow this good example. Pray to God for guidance, and then follow his direction in his Word!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
