How is your famine and thirst for the Creator? (Part 3):

•    Amos 8:11-13 -> “Behold, the days come, says the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine in the land; not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the Words of Jehovah. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the Word of Jehovah, and shall not find it. In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men shall faint for thirst.”.

It comes the question: why He don’t answer us immediately?

Well, there are divers reasons for this. One of them is said by Jesus:

•    Joh 16:12 -> “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.”.

Other can be seen in the book of Daniel:

•    Dan 10:12,13 -> “Then he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come for your words. But the ruler of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days. But lo, Michael, one of the chief rulers, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”.
 
His prayer was heard since the first day, but a demon precluded the angel to come with the answer. Wherein Daniel carried on praying, Michael come to help the angel. That is to say, the persistence of Daniel moved great part of the heaven (or, who know, all the heaven, since Michael is one of the first angels).

Well, one thing is for sure: the Creator will answer our prayer. What we can’t do is to faint (Gal 6:9).

Don’t matter what takes place, we need always keep our focus on Christ to serve of testimony to those around us:

•    Heb 12:1,2 -> “Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.”

So, have a good day waiting patiently until He brings forth your righteousness like the light and your judgment like the noonday (Ps 37:6).
