We don't have everything in written record of what has happened in the earth since the beginning of creation, nor in the life of Jesus during His time on the earth as a "man". John stated that the world couldn't contain the books that would record everything that Jesus did while in the world.

Does the bible record we have cover everything? No. Who decided what books to put in and which books to keep out? It was a group of fallible men who deemed which ones were insprired scripture. That doesn't even make sense does it? I'll not rehearse the many books that are not deemed "inspired". Yet we do have comment from Paul to Timothy that all scripture is given by inspiration of God.

Does this limit God? No. God speaks directly to us today through the Holy Spirit by Jesus and leads us (individually) into all truth. Unbelief is the only thing that limits God.

2 Timothy 3:[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Paul wrote this before it was "scripture". Was he referring to those books that are not in the bible today such as Enoch or Jasher or Maccabees (only to mention a few that are quoted in the current record we do have today)?

Limiting communication of truth has been a primary goal of the devil since Eden. And even the devil knows what the scripture says. But he doesn't know what it means. If he did, he wouldn't have crucified Jesus (the current biblical record tells us this).

Anything written in a commentary by someone about scripture is useless. It is a fallible individual's comments (mine included). Everyone can comment, even the devil. And from some commentaries it is readily apparent that he does. We each have to work out our own salvation in the truth that we know (different accountability).

Philippians 2:[12] Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

We obviously do not have access to everything ever written. Even the scripture we do have tells us this. But it doesn't matter, because we have access to the God of creation. And if we seek, we will find. If we ask, it will be given. Yet it is only if we do so in faith that He will answer us. Unbelief is the very sin that kept Israel out of the promised land centuries ago (written for our example, by the way).

John 20:[30] And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
[31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

John 21:[25] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Do you see every temptation that you have ever had in the record of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness? No. There are only three temptations mentioned. And they didn't even come close to covering every temptation that man has had. But there is a principle that I see which covers every temptation category (body, soul, and spirit).

Matthew 4:[1] Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
[2] And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
[3] And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. (the body)
[4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
[5] Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
[6] And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (the soul)
[7] Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
[8] Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
[9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. (the spirit)
[10] Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
[11] Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

The record in Hebrews states that Jesus was tempted in all points as we are, but without sin. Why aren't they recorded? Or were they and we don't have them? You get the point.

Hebrews 4:[14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
[15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

It all comes back to the main purpose of God in creation. We are each to have an individual, one-on-one interaction with Him every day of our lives (which literally belong to Him). We each have experiences and knowledge different from one another. You have no idea of everything I have experienced in life and I have no idea of everything you have. We each have a different place in the body of Christ. But as Paul wrote, every member of the body needs the other to fulfill its unique purpose. We are to love one another and encourage one another to be who we are individually. Truly God is bigger and more than any one of us can know fully alone. Let's be in unity that God is God and we are not. This was the temptation in the garden of Eden, to be as God. The very thing that the devil wanted to be was the temptation he offered to man. Shalom

Genesis 3:[4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
[22] And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
[23] Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[24] So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Thank you for the share! I just saw this.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
