Jesus' existence is provable because of the substantial written accounts from various sources of His life here on earth.

Also, Jesus has personally changed my life from the inside out. He did in me overnight what people in 12 step programs fail to attain after years and years of self-effort.

Jesus continues to change lives on a daily basis and this, I feel, is the most convincing evidence of His existence, both past and present.

Because of what trust said above, and fulfilled prophecy, like Isaih 53. (Plus 300 plus others!)

Oh - and eye witness accounts! :)

I serve a risen Saviour, he's in the world today;

I know that he is living whatever men may say;

I see his hand of mercy; I hear his voice of cheer,

And just the time I need him, he's always near.

He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

He walks with me and talks with me

Along life's narrow way.

He lives, he lives, salvation to impart!

You ask my how I know he lives?

He lives within my heart.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,

Lift up your voice and sing.

Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the king!

The hope of all who seek him,

The help of all who find,

None other is so loving, so good and kind.

A favourite of mine...and fitting in answer to your question :emot-highfive:

God bless,

Tim

Besides personal experiences which those who do not know him can't relate to and as such can not be evidence in their eyes, I would say that the change of the world calendar from 2000 years ago is a biggie.

That and the historical evidence of how many would die for him and not denounce him. You don't do that for a myth. :emot-highfive:

I voted that I think Jesus did not exist.

However, I have no single "snappy answer" for this.

It might be a "simple question" but the answer is far from simple... it can (and does) fill entire books.

So - where shall we start?

Yes, Jesus existed, and it's provable by

...the testimony of the Father and the Son, the Word which dwells within each believer. [John 5:37, 8:18]

For those who need more, consider the earliest "testimony" verbalized shortly after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and soon later written down by the Apostle Paul, which says:

1 Corinthians 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

By listening rather than speaking and seeking rather than ignoring.

Listen to the witness and tesimony of others, starting with Jesus Christ Himself.

I love Joyinthe Journey's answer. Don't know what I can add other than the fufillment of OT scripture, the written accounts of His life, that so many people were willing to die horrible deaths rather than forsake His name, the transformed lives I have peersonally witnessed, the torment I see in those close to me that will not submit to Him, and the innate sense that He speaks to me and fills me with the Holy Spirit
