Keep Creator’s commandments, and live! Live following Creator’s commandments. 

•    “Keep my commandments and live; and keep my law as the pupil of your eye.” (Proverbs 7.2).

There are two mistakes that people make:

1 – Trying to please the Creator abiding by His laws, but without living it. That is to say, they comply with His precepts, but being compelled by them. This can sound spiritual, but see what the Psalmist says:

•    “*Blessed is the man who* has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful. But *his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night*.” (Psalms 1.1,2).

After all, this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome (1John 5.3). We have to get pleasure in the presence of the Creator (Psalms 37.4) and in all that manifest the beauty of His holiness (Psalms 29.3; 96.9).

2 – Seeking to live deprecating Creator’s laws. Although we can find moments of pleasure, the advertence of the prophet is severe:

•    “Shall horses run on the rock? Will one plow there with oxen? For you have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock; *you who rejoice in nothing*, who say, Have we not taken horns to ourselves by our own strength” (Amos 6.12,13). 

Our elation have to be the Creator (Psalms 32.11; 97.12; 98.4; Joel 2.23; Habakkuk 3.19; Philippians 4.4; Nehemiah 8.10; 1Peter 1.6,8; 4.13).

So entreasure only what confirms the law of the Creator; keep the law of the Creator as your greatest treasure (such as did the one who indited Psalm 119, which is a great declaration of love for the Creator and His laws).
