Why didn’t we receive what we need?

•    “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” (James 4.2,3).

Why do we look on so difficult that Jesus give us what we need?

•    “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans  8:32)

Solomon was very clear in his Psalm:

•    “For he shall deliver the needy *when he crieth*; the poor also, and *him that hath no helper*.” (Psalms  72:12).

Notwithstanding, beyond praying, we can’t have any help  (or helper – see Daniel 12.7). That is to say, Jesus needs to be our only Savior.

And the cry of the unassisted have a tremendous impact:

•    “Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and *he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee* .” (Deuteronomy  15:9).
•    “At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: *lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee* .” (Deuteronomy  24:15).

So, instead of harping on about the defies that Jesus put into your life in order to work His salvation in you (Php 2.12,13), go unto the throne of grace and receive His mercy (Hebrews 4.16), that is to say, His way in the middle of the storm (Nahum 1.3; 1Corinthians 10.13). Even if you are not seeing solution for your problem (the situation seems to be very distressing), remember that:

•    “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corinthians  2:9)
•    “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Ephesians  3:20).
 
    So, have a good day believing and delving on these promises.

God gives us the desires of our heart. We just need to be sure we have a pure heart and pure desires.
