Can a believer get involved with politics? (Part 6).

Continuing to answer the questions.

Someone can question: “if in the government there is only Ha-Satan’s servants, the oppression will be so big and no follower of Christ will bear with this.”.

Well, since the Adam sinned until now, always Ha-Satan had his representatives in the power. Hence he said:

•    Luk 4:5,6 -> “And the devil led him into a high mountain and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And he said to him: To thee will I give all this power and the glory of them. For to me they are delivered: and to whom I will, I give them.”.

Nonetheless, despite this, even with terrible and cruel tyrants like Hitler, Genghis Khan, Mao Tse-tung, etc., as well as all the rulers of the ancient Roman Empire, the humanity arrived until here. And, by the way, the more Jesus’ church was persecuted, the more she grew in purity, holiness and number.

Furthermore, although Ha-Satan is in control of the world, everything only comes about with the permission of the Creator and He never allows us to be tempted beyond our strengths:

•    1Co 10:13 -> “Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.”.

He detains the control of the heart of all kings:

•    Pro 21:1 -> “The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will.”.

If we stay in the way of life (Jesus Christ), everything will cooperation to our good (Rom 8:28):

•    Pro 16:4 -> “The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.”.

Someone can ask: “but there is no place in the Holy Scripture prohibiting us to get involved in politics.”.

Jesus’ followers only can do what they saw their Master doing (such as Jesus only did what He saw the Father to do):

•    Joh 5:19 -> “So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.”.
•    Joh 8:38 -> “I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”.
•    Joh 10:37 -> If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me;”.

Once Jesus couldn’t do anything by Himself, but only pursuant to what He saw and heard from the Father, who are us to think that we can invent something? Peter and John were clear: we need to follow Jesus’ example, live and walk like Him:

•    1Pe 2:21 -> “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you *an example*, so that you might follow in his steps.”.
•    1Jn 2:6 -> “whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”.
•    Eph 5:1  -> “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.”.

As we can see, we are enjoined to imitate the Creator. Those who tried to invent a way to glorify the Creator paid dearly for this. For instance:

•    Lev 10:1 -> “Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, *which he had not commanded them*. And fire came out from before the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.”

So, have a good day being content in being like your Master (Jesus). Don’t try to be better than Him:

•    Mat 10:24,25 -> “ “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.”.

Tomorrow we will keep on answering the questions.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
