I think it is a good rule.  It makes good common sense.  Even when I was in the military as a leader, we were taught to never give counseling session to a female subordinate alone, that we were to bring another female of either same rank as you or higher to help oversee the counselling, to avoid any appearance that may be considered inappropriate.  This concept is also taught in civilian leadership courses as well.

One would think Christians had no self control.  image.gif.cf0d5cc4393d626ed199b0f08c4505ee.gif

Yes, but we’re supposed to have self-control.  Right?   —Selah

Self control is a fruit of the Spirit. That happens when the Holy Spirit works in us. It also involves the ability to say "no".

Self control is about controlling the flesh. That is up to us. We can either succeed or fail.

It is all about the choices we make as a Christian. A person needs to know the blessings of a choice or the consequences of a choice that is made. Is a Christian praying and asking God to guide and direct them in their choices?

Was reading up on the Billy Graham rule. Basically , during his  ministry, he and his team had a rule by which none of them would be alone with a woman not  their mother ,wife ,sister or daughter. I saw a Washington Post article which criticised it claiming that it demeans the marriage , acting like you cant uphold your marriage vows without a babysitter or its like a thief claiming he wont come at your house without a parole officer so he wont steal.

What I find amusing is that- in his decades of ministry, and in light of all the pastors who've fallen into trouble due to sexual sin, have you ever heard of Billy Graham in any  such scandal?

Nope.

A valuable lesson- So long as its biblically sound, never let peoples criticism or ridicule dissuade you from taking the stances or  strategies you know you have to take to stay on the right track.

There is an current posting by Walter and Deb "Sister to Brother" that seems to be good counsel for this topic.
