According to Christ in the gospel, the occupants of Judea flee when they see the abomination that causes desolation.

According to zech 14,the occupants of Judea flee, on the day of the Lord.

If we compare scripture like this and many others, we find the abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem by the armed forces of the north, on the day of the Lord.

If anyone thinks not, they need to explain why the occupants of Judea flee, then come back to Judea only to flee again.

PS, Jesus tells his students, when they see the occupants of Judea flee, they are only to stand up and raise their heads for their redemption is near.

He never tells his students to flee.

No.  It says when you see them surrounding Jerusalem, not occupying.   Yes, the people of Judea are told flee before the invasion happens.  And it does not say armies from the north but all nations.

"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. - Luk 21:20-24

For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. - Zec 14:2-5

For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side - Luk 19:43

and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days. - Rev 12:6

Hi Shilohsfoal,

If you look up the word `Day` in Hebrew, you will find it is a specific day and also a period of time, (more than a day).

The "Day of the Lord," also known as "the Lord's Day," is the timeline of Zechariah 14. The world will be completely submerged in the Antichrist's one-world religious system by the time the "Day of the Lord" arrives, and the locust army of fallen angels will be in charge. Joel 1 and 2 and other places describe this event.

And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

- Zechariah 14:5 (KJV)

Jerusalem will be completely destroyed at the sound of the seventh trumpet when Jesus Christ returns. There won't be a stone left unturned throughout that earthquake. But on that Day, God will provide his elect with a means of escape.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

- Matthew 24:15-24 (KJV)

This is what you are supposed to do when you see the “desolator” (Satan) standing in the holy place taking away the daily sacrifice by posing as God and proving it by working miracles in front of people so that they will bow to him and worship him.  When that happens, you can be sure that the cup of wrath of God is being filled and is going to be poured out on the ungodly.

Those who flee are the ungodly.

Christ told his students, that when they see these things begin to happen to stand up and raise the heads for their redemption is near.

https://biblehub.com/luke/21-28.htm

Why do you believe Christ's elect  fear Christ? Why do you believe Christ's elect should flee to the mountains and hide in caves with the ungodly?

https://biblehub.com/luke/21-28.htm

The 144000 are sealed when they see the abomination that causes desolation. They are redeemed at that time. That is 1290 days after the daily sacrifice is abished.

Marilyn.

This is the exact day.

The same day the abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem, 144000 of Israel are sealed.

Jesus Is not going to make them stand there for days after he told them to stand up.

Everyone seems to believe the antichrist takes over the world when Christ come to reign on the day of the Lord.

It doesn't work that way.

Your arguing with something that is not in the opening post.

Please stick to the opening post. If you wish to argue the gentiles don't tread jurusalem under foot for 42 months, then you should start a new thread saying as much.

The question is why do you believe the occupants g Lee from Judea, return, and flee again?

Jesus never said those who flee would return.
