Just saying, I read Caesar's Gaelic Wars in Latin Classes and eventually Italy was overrun by the "barbarians", the Gauls.  Of course, read that 65 years ago so I could be wrong.  Doubt it.

The Roman colonized Israel 2000 years ago and killed and wiped them off the land, did anything bad happen to Italy  ?

There have been many people who have lived heinous lives of extreme sin and who then went on to die a calm, peaceful, death at a ripe old age.

God may or may not have punished the Romans during their time on Earth but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen after they died.

How could God bless the rebellious people that killed the Messiah ?

Should we differeniate between common Jews and the Pharisees, who were the ones that actually compelled the Romans to execute Jesus?

Do you believe that modern Jews have any special place with God?

Paul said he was a debtor to the barbarians..... Romans 1.14

I too studied Latin decades back....but I seemed to do unseen translations rather than set books............I do have a Vulgate copy of the NT.......(someplace...)

Latin did wonders for my English vocabulary as well as helping to prepare for my education as a nurse.

There's perhaps a few true followers of the Lord in Iran, and they're being persecuted, so we must remember to pray for them. 🙏🏽

Southwest Iran, where much unrest has occurred also in the past was the country of Elam.

It is also where Daniel's tomb is found, with Persians and Jews in attendance.

Jeremiah 49:

38 I will set My throne in Elam,
And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.

Note:Daniel ruled from Shushan, or the citadel of Susa, in Elam, by the Spirit

of Messiah.

39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days:
I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

Prophetic fulfillment on the doorstep?

Romans 11:

28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake,

but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.

29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

They have already been punished for their actions.

Matthew 23:

34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes:

some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will

scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,

35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth

from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah,

whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

36 Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

The Word of the Gospel is now:

Isaiah 40:

1 “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!”
Says your God.
“Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her,
That her warfare is ended,
That her iniquity is pardoned;
For she has received from the Lord’s hand
Double for all her sins.

2 Temples, 2 judgments

All tribulation upon Israel since is on the gentile church

Romans 11:

30 For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained

mercy through their disobedience,

31 even so these also have now been disobedient,

that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy

32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

The mercy of God for Israel has been ordained by Him to come from the gentiles who

have received mercy. Has the church shown Israel mercy?
