Do not be hasty in your spirit to be angry; your eyes can be held so that they could not know Jesus (see Ecc 7:9; Luke 24:14-16). 

Everyone knows the history about the exodus of Israel. Nevertheless, there are something that passes unaware by us:

•    “And Moses said so to the sons of Israel. But they did not listen to Moses through anguish of spirit and through cruel bondage.” (Exo 6:9);

Moses received a marvelous word of enfranchisement from the Creator, but they were so anguished in their spirit (revolted with the Creator for, apparently, not to answer their prayers), that they weren’t able to believe in His word.

It is truth that they didn’t know Moses well. Nonetheless, if they knew well his parents and they were with an opened heart to hear the Creator’s voice, they certainly would stop to hear Moses and put all his words and deeds (he made signs – Exodus 4:30) in Creator’s presence in order to know if it was really Him that was doing all of this.

It is comprehensible that many people could doubt, inasmuch as, after Moses announce the word of the Creator for the first time, pharaoh simply doubled their yoke (Exodus 5:18-21). Nevertheless, we can’t believe only when the Creator manifest His signs. 

As Jesus said:

•    “Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. *Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed*.” (John 20:29).

Many people only thinks about all the suffering of Israel, but nobody stop to think in the minuteness of the episode:

1 – Israelites didn’t care about knowing the Creator.

•    “Yea, you took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, images which you made in order to worship them; and I will remove you beyond Babylon." (Act 7:43).

Otherwise, they will stick to Him more firmly and would rest and bide in Him (Ps 37:7).

2 – Israelites weren’t united, even in the serfdom. 

The proof of this is that, between them, there were oversees (Exodus 5:19). The own Israelites helped pharaoh to exploit other Israelites.

Furthermore, if they were united, they could know better the history of the parents of Moses (how he was delivered from the slaughter of pharaoh – Exodus 1:22). 

Not to mention that they could have heard all the testimony of Moses, to wit: how he, by faith refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time (Heb 11:24-25).

So, have a good day refusing the net of evils (as the wicked desire). After all, as the root of the righteous yields fruit (Pro 12:12), from you, Jesus will provide (according to His power that works in you – Eph 3:20), not only what you need, but what people around you need too (Ps 23:5).
