Yes, California got hit with a blizzard. We in the heart of Los Angeles are being pounded with heavy rain since late last night. I think I heard hail in the morning. Areas that don't get any snow got some. There are flash flood warnings, cars getting stuck. And the mountains are piled deep with snow. I checked the nest recently and mom Eagle was on, her head up and alert. But she was surrounded by the snow. I sure hope her feathers insulate her. Although our mountains get some snow, it's nothing like this....and not this cold.

Yes, we rarely get rain. Have been in drought for some time. If we get rain, it's usually in our "Winter"....but not too much. These storms are unusual for us.

I think this is why folk like Joe Kennedy Sr, and Goldwyn and others in the 20s liked area so much because Hollywood film producing would not be disrupted by adverse weather.....................
