Psalm 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

[H5712];edah=congregation.

edah<[H5707];’ed=witness.

‘ed<[5749];uwd=testify.

In Exodus, the children of Israel are first referred to as ‘the congregation’ Of Israel.

Exodus 12:3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel…

They have all just witnessed a series of judgments upon Egypt, and a significant portion of the Torah

pertains to the testimony of what they had seen, and were about to witness during the Exodus.

To translate edah as “the congregation” conceals this significance; that they are to be witnesses,

to preserve the testimony of the mighty arm of YHWH.

Deuteronomy 4:

32 For ask now concerning the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God

created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether any great thing

like this has happened, or anything like it has been heard.

33 Did any people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

34 Or did God ever try to go and take for Himself a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs,

by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord

your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

35 To you it was shown that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.

Isaiah 43:12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And no foreign god among you;

Therefore you are My witnesses, says the LORD, that I am God.

Joshua 24:22 So Joshua said to the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen

the LORD for yourselves, to serve Him. And they said, We are witnesses!

The testimony of the New Covenant is that the congregation of the righteous, or witnesses,

are of Faith in the Son. And what is their testimony?

To what do they bear witness?

Acts 1:

21 Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become

a witness with us of His resurrection.

Witnesses Of The Resurrection

Luke 24:

44 Then He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you,

that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets

and the Psalms concerning Me.

45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

46 Then He said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer

and to rise from the dead the third day,

47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations,

beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And you are witnesses of these things.

Acts 4:

1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple,

and the Sadducees came upon them,

2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus

the resurrection from the dead.

Acts 4:33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

And great grace was upon them all.

Paul's witness to Greek philosophers on the Areopagus

Acts 17: (complete 16-34)

30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man

whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said,

We will hear you again on this matter.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
