In a Race!

However we are NOT IN COMPETITION against one another !

1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 9

22 To the weak became as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that might by all means save some.

23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that might be partaker thereof with you.

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

We are watched on every side, not only by the enemy of our souls but by the world as a whole.

Do you run in decorum grace & love....ask ourselves this ? What is our motive.

HEBREWS

CHAPTER 12

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Galatians 3

Let us too not be hindered as were the Galatians, split between the law & the Spirit. The letter killeth but the Spirit gives liberty

None of us alive today have already obtain as Paul states for our journey continues .Jesus says unto he that " endures unto the end, will I give eternal life !"

Nothing can prevent us from running this race to the finish line....unless we let it.

Lastly, I leave you with this thought. LOVE, can cover a multitude of the  sins of the heart,  hurts, anger, bitterness, jealously, envy....ect.

This is a very good place to start as a believer, examining ourselves DAILY " the sins of the heart"!

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
