Hebrews 3:

1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle

and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also in all His house.

3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch

as He who built the house has more honor than the house.

4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.

5 And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for

a testimony of those things which would be spoken.

6 but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if

we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.

What is the evidence of this faithfulness?

Numbers 12:

6 Then He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you,

I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

7 Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house.

8 I speak with him mouth to mouth,

Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; and he sees the form of the Lord.

Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?

To seek His face. To draw near until we are "mouth to mouth".

Until His breath is our breath. His words are our words.

Mark 9:7 And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice

came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!

This is to "confess Christ", which means "to speak the same words".

[G3670] homologeo=to say the same thing as another, i.e. to be in agreement with

Romans 10:

8 But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart that is, the word of faith which we preach;

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Lord, help us to be vessels of honour unto you.

May we function properly in the body where the Spirit blesses us with gifts to edify your people.

May we be but a servant in the house of our Lord !

Amen

The house, the building, the dwelling place of God is such an important theme in scripture! Some time ago I was taken with the fact that out of so many Christian writings, so very few address this topic of the dwelling of God!  I remember going through a book store looking and looking, but not finding a single thing on this!

There have been a few books written on it, and I've listed a couple below.  But, we have to ask, what is on God's heart?  The end of the bible, the last couple chapters in Revelation, tells us. "I John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem coming from God out of heaven." He loves us and desires to dwell with us!  The first two chapters of the bible in Genesis and the last two chapters in Revelation mirror each other - God is dwelling with man.  In between it deals with the sin problem, and in that dealing He displays His amazing love, in order to return us to the purpose of close interaction and fellowship with Him!

Books I've found regarding the house of God:

Man - The Dwelling Place of God   AW Tozer  (a true classic/must read)

The Great House of God     Max Lucado  (don't know much about this one)

That's it that I can find - anyone know of others?

My take:

Hebrews 9:11

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

2 Cor.5:1

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Hebrews 9:24

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
