I would venture to say, when you die, you leave it all behind.

Some more silly questions to not waste too much time on:

If you own a thousand head of cattle, would you expect to have them greet you in heaven? Moo

I had this fantastic avocado tree I grew, till my stupid goat ate it. Will my tree be in heaven and my goat in hell?

Do rocks go to heaven? I have this rock collection I just love, I'd hate to miss it. The bible does say the rocks will cry out. Maybe they have souls too.

Don't idolize anything, be it animal, veggie or mineral over God. If you are so attached you want your rock collection or ferrari in heaven, you might look into your materialism problem. You could be placing things over God and He accepts no substitutions.

I also wouldn't be attributing spirits to all sorts of things. We used to have pagan animism. I'm not looking back.

As far as rocks go, i have no idea. As far as idolising pets and animals?? Theres a difference between idolising a pet and LOVING a pet, since, as i showed you, they do have spirits, and were entitled to love them. But dont ever mock or disrespect animals. It is righteous to treat animals well, in God's eyes, and if its righteous to Him, i sure respect it.

Proverbs 12:10

"A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."

They are God's creation. There spirits return to him, and even if your not an animal lover, were to respect God's creation and take care of and love our pets.

I guess I've got some explaining to do about all those bugs I've squashed. :whistling:

:b:;);) i dont know about that... i guess so!!

it does say HIS animal, so i reckon that means your pets or livestock... heh

I'm sorry, I'm trying to follow what you are saying, but I did not understand any of that. Can you repost and explain a little fuller? Not trying to be mean, I just really didn't get it.

As for the Romans 1 reference, I can't see how people are expected to have faith in Jesus if they have never heard of him. Paul does appeal to God being obvious to everyone, and to the idea that everyone has a God-given conscious that they must follow. But how can salvation for those who have never heard of Jesus rely on faith in Jesus? That just doesn't make any sense.

if "verbally" hearing about Jesus, is what was intended, than deaf mutes have no chance.

its not about verbally hearing, its what the HEART/SPIRIT hears.

paul hated christians, and if God didnt regenerate his heart, he would have been blinded by the light, just like his travelling companions on the way to Damascus were.

Paul Heard Jesus, becasue his heart was regenerated by God from above to do so.

it was NOT ANY EFFORT, on his part at all.

nor, is it our effort.

no amounts of knowledge will ever lead us to glory.

God calls, whom he choses to call, and its not with our permission.

blessed are the pure in heart, they will see God.

have you ever seen God?

I'll answer for you---YES---YOU HAVE.

I think we are saying the same thing, but saying it in different ways. A person on a remote island that has never heard of Jesus is not judged and either given salvation or sent to Hell on whether or not they say "I believe Jesus was the Son of God and I have faith in him." Of course they can't confess that, because they have no idea who Jesus is. But Scripture does say that God should be obvious to everyone, and appeals to a conscious implanted in everyone's heart. So, if you have never even heard of Jesus (verbally or otherwise), you are still judged by your heart. Would you agree with that?

A person on a deserted island has a better chance of having a relationship with God because he's got no people to distract him. God has ways of communicating with anybody.

You're probably right. He doesn't have to worry about TV, internet, radio, work, etc. I'm not trying to say people who have not heard of Jesus are not saved, or are not in some way connected with God. I'm just saying it has to be a different standard from those who have heard the message of Jesus and either choose to accept or reject it.

If we are to have faith in Jesus, and Jesus is the Word, would it not be possible for an isolated person or people to have the word written on their hearts? An inherent knowledge? :)

Animals have instincts. Could these instincs not contain an understanding of the Word?

well, im not sure. the bible says (in better words hehe) that to the unsaved (people) the Word is foolishness to them...

but if they believe its different. Animals wouldnt be the same because theyve never heard of Jesus... maybe they are judged by the law just like people who never hear of Jesus in there lives. If they dont know there sinning, they cant be condemned. So if they dont know Jesus, they cant be Judged by the bible laws, they have to be judged by the only law they know and if they followed that... so yeh... i dont know if animals get judged....hmmm

You tell the kids that God loves animals and everything God loves will be in heaven.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
