HaShem: The Key To Knowledge?

Peace and Joy to all!

Among all the articles and such I have ever read about "The Name", the article at the end of this link ...

http://www.geocities.com/athens/acropolis/8142/article9.htm

... seems to me to be the most level-headed and comprehensive.  But at about ten pages, it is too long and it has too much formatting to post here on the board.  So, if you will, go take a look!

If someone decides to begin some discussion here, I will stay out unless asked a question or invited to share some personal experience or, reluctantly, even an opinion.

Blessings to each of you in "HaShem"!

In another thread, someone had asked, "Is the Hebrew term 'YahShua' in the Bible?"

I responded, "Yes, so I have heard.  ... I will ... make some notes of specific passages in Scripture ...", and I have since thought it best to post that information here.

Have you heard of "equi-distant letter spacing"?  Here is a simple example:

ooooYooooaoooohooooSoooohoooouooooaoooo

As you can see, the name "YahShua" is spelled out by every fifth letter in that string of characters.  However, the kind of thing we are talking about here would also have that string readable, itself.

As a related aside: Maybe you already know the original manuscripts of Scripture were written with no spaces or punctuation, looking something like this (in Hebrew):

AsyoucanseethenameYahShuaisspelledoutbyeveryfifthletterinthatstringofcharactersA

dasarelat

edasideMaybeyoualsoalreadyknowtheoriginalmanuscriptsofScripturewerewrittenwithno

pacesorpu

nctuationlookingsomethinglikethisinHebrew

Also, please note this has nothing whatsoever to do with numerology.

Now, if we took every fifth letter from that above paragraph and put them all together, we would get this:

uenaaeoeflraiccAatiyuadwraupSteiwoeualnegtne

And, that does not seem to say much of anything.

But according to the information I have heard, the name "YahShua" - however it might be spelled in Hebrew (with four letters, I believe) - appears in many places in the Old Testament ... in the format of equi-distant letter spacing.

To grasp the magnitude of that kind of thing, just take any word you might choose and try to make it show up in the same manner in a sentence you write yourself.  For example:

Make the letters of "WorthyBoards" equally spaced, in order, within a readable sentence.  And, even take some phonetic license if you want.  How long will you need ... a year or two?!

According to what I have heard, the Hebrew version of the name "YahShua" shows up by taking the very first letter in Genesis 1:1 and adding to that Hebrew letter every 521st letter following.  And, it is said anyone with a Hebrew-English interlinear Bible can confirm that. (Notice: No Greek required!)

According to what I have heard, something like "YahShua is my name" can be similarly drawn from Isaiah 53:10, every 26th letter in Psalm 22:15 shows "who" is being crucified (as described in that Psalm), every 2nd letter in Psalm 41:8 spells out who is (as described therein) being betrayed, the name "YahShua" shows up in every 26th letter in Daniel 9:25-26, in whatever spacing in Zachariah 9:9 and 11:12, in every 5th letter in Ruth 1:1, and both "YahShua" and "Miriam" can be similarly found in Micah 5:2 ... and there are many, many more such examples given in the video I have watched.

Is all of that true?  I do not know.  But, I have no problem believing the One who created us could do that ... if He wanted to.

Grant R. Jeffrey - I know nothing else at all about him - made the video series of two (with several "programs" each) I have watched, entitled, "The Signature of 'God' (sic), Astonishing Bible Discoveries".  A statement on the dust jacket for those videos says, "Grant argues that 'God' (sic) has indeed written His Signature on the pages of the Scriptures through a staggering number of divine proofs that its words are inspired and authoritative."  I agree.

If I recall correctly, I got those videos from www.swrc.com.

Blessings!

Lee, I have seen a Torah scroll.  It has spaces between words.

Cool!  I have never seen one.

So then, does that mean all the reports are wrong ... that there have therefore -- since you have happened to see something different -- always been spaces in all copies of Scripture?

I don't know about ALL the reports, Lee, but you are correct in that there were no chapter and verse distinctions.  But there were/are spaces between words.

Xan:

Okay.  It was just that I had heard the scribes had written with no spaces so they could get as much as possible on every "page", or whatever they called their writing surfaces.

Either way, I believe the equi-distant letter spacing -- if it truly does exist -- would come out the same.

On the videos I have mentioned, it is reported that one "Yakov Ramsel" (sp?) is/was a man who spent literally thousands of hours counting and looking and reading ... and all without a computer.

If even half the stuff on those videos is true, it is all quite amazing!

Blessings!

I am new here.  Sure hope I don't get a response like some of what I've seen so far.

Growing up, people from time to time would tell me about Jesus.  I knew the song: "Jesus loves me, this I know..."  My great grandparents were missionairies and my great grandmother never failed to write scripture somewhere on birthday cards and such, and my grandmother always told me how much Jesus loved me.  Even my Dad, after leaving us when we were little, came back around when I was in my teenage years to tell me of Jesus Christ.  Over the years, lost/dead in sin, all that "Jesus" stuff became "religious" stuff that made me roll my eyes and say, "yeah, yeah, Jesus loves me."  It wasn't until I reached my twenties that the veil was lifted and I was no longer blind.  That moment happened during a conversation with my Dad as he was explaining to me the Passover.  Initial salvation took place, I was baptized, growth began with an amazing "pink cloud/honeymoon" experience with the Messiah Himself.  Who at the time, I knew as Jesus.  I remember standing in a church building looking at banners they had hung up that spelled J E S U S, teary eyed with overwhelming emotions of thankfulness, adoration (too much more to describe) at the most beautiful name I had ever seen before.  A couple of years later, attending service regularly and serving where I could, that name of Jesus began to annoyingly itch in my ears.  I didn't understand what was happening and why.  Then one day standing in my living room, the Spirit of the One True Living Messiah said to me, "YahShua".  I knew right then, that that was THE Name above all names.  The Name that pierced through that Jesus religious stuff.  YahShua and Jesus are not one in the same.  May He keep me in His Truth.

Thank You Xan, for greeting me!  However, it is my sister who just got married a few days ago, not me!

It is nice to meet you, too!

Initial salvation took place, I was baptized, growth began with an amazing "pink cloud/honeymoon" experience with the Messiah Himself.  Who at the time, I knew as Jesus.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than than that ye have received let him be accursed.

You are not bringing the gospel we all heard and received from the beginning, which is Jesus Christ crucified and the remission of sins.

In His Truth,

Suzanne

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
