Clarence Very important question. God`s word tell us that the Day of the LORD, (God, Almighty for Judgment) begins when the northern army invades Israel. Thus, in Joel 2: 1 we see that the Day of the LORD (in judgment) begins with the invading army. Then in Zephaniah 1: 14 & 15 we read of that Day as a time of darkness, etc. That is the time period. Then in Rev. 6: 12 - 17 we read of the specific Day when the Lord comes to deliver Israel and bring judgment upon the rebellious. The Day of the Lord time period covers quite a lot - war, peace Treaty, judgments, ruling with a rod of iron, then, in which the heavens and earth melt, (2 Peter 3: 10) So, for the believer when we see the northern armies coming down to Israel then we can look up for our redemption is nigh. (v. 5) That doesn't take place til after the resurrection in Ezekiel 37 where Israel comes up out of their graves. Ezekiel 38 is far into the future about 1000 years after the war of Armageddon.1000 years after Christ comes on the day of the Lord.
