The Thieves At the Door

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.... 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

What are the thieves at the door that prevents sinners and believers from entering in?

#1  The Roman Catholic Church by adding themselves to the gospel of Jesus Christ with the works of Catholicism as the means for obtaining salvation within.  Notice how they steal that rest in Jesus Christ by pointing to the RCC for the saved believers to labor in unbelief for when they already are saved by simply believing in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead!!!

Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Romans 4:1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?  2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

#2  The Azusa Street Revival that points sinners & even saved believers doubting their salvation, to that baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues.  Notice how preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is not enough for why they point to receiving Him by a sign?  That is pointing away from the Son for those that are saved for believing in Him to that spirit of antichrist in committing spiritual adultery for a sign.

Matthew 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.... 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

#3. Billy Graham's altar call to sinners & saved believers doubting their salvation to come forward & make a commitment to follow Christ thus they are pointing to placing their how in themselves by them doing the best they can in keeping that commitment to gain assurance of salvation.

2 Corinthians 11:For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.... 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:.... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

#4. Evangelicals call to sinners to repent of sin(s) before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ, thus pointing to themselves to obtain salvation by repenting from sin.  That altar call should be pointing them to look to Jesus Christ to deliver them from their sins & not just for eternal life.

Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Is running that race in living as His disciple a works salvation?

Running that race by faith in Jesus Christ trusting Him to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily in walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son is for the high praise of our calling in our hopes in Him to finish His work in us to receive us as vessels unto honor in His House, vessels of gold & silver, that shall be received by Him when He comes as the Bridegroom at the pre great tribulation rapture event.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Those unrepentant saints found in iniquity still and former believers that are left behind are still saved for why discipleship as in running that race is nor for obtaining salvation but for obtaining that crown and that eternal glory that comes with our salvation in Christ Jesus to be that vessel unto honor in His House to sit at the Marriage Supper table in Heaven and have a mansion in the City of God in Heaven.

So running that race is not a works salvation because those left behind are still saved being condemned as that vessel unto dishonor in His House.  We are to run that race as saved believers in moving unto perfection by our faith & confidence in Jesus Christ to finish His work in us to His glory in being receiving as that vessel unto honor in His House, but He will do the same for those left behind for how they will be scourged from their iniquities to be partakers of his holiness.  Hebrews 12:1-11 & Luke 12:40-49

So may every saved believer look to Him now in trusting Jesus Christ as your personal Good Shepherd to help you to discern & depart from iniquity by the meat of His words as kept in the KJV by those that loved Him & His words for following Him.
